What does Nc5xb3 means? (Hanako Route)

So i started to play Hanako route for the first time, i was about to save my game when i saw the name of the scene: " Nc5xb3".
What does it means? or is it just a random name?
Also, this is my first time on the forums, something i should know?
Thanks :).

Edit: Thanks for the answers, i never though i could mean something so deep, also, my profile avatar isn't Yui, Ritsu or Mugi, is definitely Mio, and I'm sure it's related to my name, she was the main character in Dead Rising 2.

Welcome to the forums Mr. Wesker! As far as things to know, the rules are here, and this is handy too. Enjoy your stay! :)

That code is chess notation, a means of recording moves. There is also another (minor) bit of trivia about that move, but I shouldn't tell you until you finish the story. Enjoy the rest of Hanako's route! She's awesome.

May not want to read this until you've finished Hanako's route. Nothing too specific, but still.

As mentioned before, it's a chess move. Specifically, it means "Knight at C5 captures the piece at B3." It's around this scene that Hanako starts taking an interest in Hisao. In other words, Hisao (who tries to "white knight" Hanako throughout her route) has captured Hanako's heart, so to speak.

That is an image of Yui Hirasawa, not Albert Wesker.

Also yes, it's chess imagery, kind of like Castling

Except an assload of people thought Nc5xb3 was an oversight back in the days of the Act 1 demo, and assumed that it was a special kind of notation for the scene name or a bug.

I think you are mistaken. It's definitely Mugi-chan.

Aye. For the longest time I thought it was a memory location, because it's mentioned in her and Lilly's routes that she's good with computers. I was left confused because nothing involving computers really happens in her route, much less around that time.

Also, if it was hexadecimal, it would start with 0x and could only use 0-9 and A-F. So either I wasn't paying attention or Hanako knows more about computers that I do (which, putting some thought into it, is quite plausible).

It's some overrated moe shit, that what she is.

(Dear Based God, please bless somebody to make a K-ON! Resident Evil 4 PC texture hack! #TYBG!)

Like everyone said, it's a chess term. Hisao's the (whtie) knight who captured the queen's heart... until he fucks up and treats her like a fragile child like the rest of the Hanabros who blame gettin' their bad ends on Hisao

When you say "overrated moe" shit you mean Yui, Ritsu or Mugi?
I'm assuming you're talking about yui, right?
The hanako route seems to become more interesting every time i play it.

I have no idea what he meant, but none of them are overrated moe. In fact, none of them are even moe. :?
Mio is moe, Yui is an idiot, Mugi is hot and Ritsu is... Ritsu.

Yeah, what is with the hate about Hanako? It seems to me that Hanako and Shizune's routes get the most flak by members of this community, Hanako's especially.

Jesus, can't we all just enjoy the game and the memories it leaves us without so much criticism?

Is the Lilly route related to Hanako as the Hanako route is related to Lilly?

Yes, it is. Several problems that arise in both routes cross over to each other, though Lily's problems are not as prevalent in Hanako's route, and vice versa.

Not to try and take the spotlight from the actual character in the route, I'd suppose.

Like SPOILERS:
Hanako's 'seclusion' shows up in both routes, however, in her route it is much more of a pivotal plot point between Hanako and Hisao, determining on what ending you get. In Lily's route, it's less exaggerated and the focus is more of the tone Lily is using while on the phone with Hisao, and he fact he neglected to say much more than what is going on with Hanako.

Also, Lily leaving for Ireland is prevalent in both routes, and is the pivotal plot point in HER route, while in Hanako's, it doesn't serve as much of a purpose.
