No, I've seen planet of the apes, I own it. More often than not, when people online make a ape reference/ joke lately they tend to make a DBZ reference.

I didn't watch Planet of the Apes, but I know enough of it that you're parodying the ending.

I like how the ruined Statue of Liberty is replaced with a statue of Shizune instead, it's a really neat detail.
