And now that I've finished the story proper, I can honestly reiterate that this is the best fan-fic I've ever read. Hell, I think it's my favorite route, in-game or fan-written. This... this was a journey, man. And I couldn't be happier to have found this. Thank you again.

...And, if it's all right with you, I'd like to adopt "Go to hell, feminists" as my own personal motivation mantra. Sure, it might draw a few odd looks but I think it'd be worth it.

By the way, I think "A Bad Dream" by Keane fits the mood of the beginning of the fic pretty well. I was just listening to it and I made the connection.

I know I'm way late to the party, and I hate that I only found this story after it was completed, but let me express how wonderful this entire tale was. Every moment not spent reading this story was filled with a want to return to it. I have become attached to Suzu and I hate to see her go as this story comes to an end.

Dear Scissorlips, thank you so much for this wonderful story! I hope to have the pleasure of reading another of your expertly woven tales in the near future.

Again, thank you so much.

Oh man, oh man, oh man.

Like so many others before, I created an account solely for the reason of giving you some praise. This story was right up there with the canon routes from KS, and that is said with all sincerity. I had absolutely no idea that Suzu was even a character, hell, half of the characters you mentioned throughout the story were unbeknownst to me. Without the help of Google, I would have surely been lost on these references.

You created a perfectly believable and amazingly great character with Suzu, I found myself multiple times wishing she had a route within the VN, or at least a more major role than glancing at Hisao in the beginning.

I'm not really good at all of this, so I'll simply restate what I came to say; you're writing is magnificent and stellar, please continue to indulge your writing tendencies so that we may all have a good time reading your work!

One thing however I'm still unclear about is the last choice, how did going after Kenji change Suzu's ultimate ending?

Anyway, thanks again!

To kimori, the reason is that choosing to face Kenji by herself meant that she had courage, the courage to both make friends with the person who kidnapped her and the same courage to face her future. The reason the choice does that because in the original VN, a choice built your morals and personality, because of storytelling, if that was not a choice, it still builds and shapes the person's personality, and making that a choice lets you choose the character's traits. I suck at explaining anyway got to go, stuff to do, a dog to feed. Just hang in there Hoitash. Of course, unless you've given up on me already...

This was, and still is, one of the best fan-fictions I've ever read. Too much stuff to say what's good. Great job Scizlips!

I finally finished reading this. What will I do with my life now?!? I could go back to working on that fanfic I started months ago...

I might as well add some criticism even though the OP doesn't come here anymore :P.
-I feel like the word grimace was used too much at times. (I don't like the word very much lol)
-I liked the bad ending, but I feel like it could have been executed better. The way it is implies Suzu and her brother were talking as spirits or something since it takes place moments after Suzu kills herself. It seems like an strange supernatural element as Seiji had always been a figure in her dreams until then.

-Neutral/2nd bad ending was perfect. Suzu realizes she's back where she started and the reader becomes nauseated from depression ;_;

-I feel like the good ending could have used a dream sequence where she comes to terms with her brother. The neutral ending sort of had that where Seiji digs her out of her dream grave. I think that could have fit into the good ending with some modification.

SUZU IS MY WAIFU NOW<3<3!! DEAL WITH IT!

GO TO FUCKING HELL, FEMINISTS!

Again I've gotta say, 10/10 story here and it's the best, most well-written fanfiction I've ever read. Seriously, I bet this'd look great if someone did a spin-off VN based on the Suzu story.

Amazing story. I Had to wait until it was completed before I could commit. Myself. I believe we all know the feeling of when an amazing fic becomes dead. I hate to be "that guy" but i have always been a lurker up until now and have no idea where to post this. I was hoping to see if someone would review/revise a fic im currently working on.

In tribute to this wonderful fanfic, I wrote a theme for it (intended to be sort of the equivalent of the musical themes for each arc character in canon). Here's the sheet music (it's for piano only). I tried to make it somewhat nebulous with some dark undertones.

(Here's a link to the same thing on dropbox.)

And here's an MP3, although it is based on the Finale playback of the music, which you should be forewarned makes it sound pretty terrible. (I don't really have a way to record myself playing it; if I could I would definitely do that instead.)
Suzu theme mp3.mp3

EDIT: Recording of me playing it is here. It sounds much much better in that so I would encourage you to listen to that rather than this mp3.

Finally, thanks so much, Scissorlips, for writing something so incredible.

It's nice overall, although some parts sound stilted since its the computer playback. Although I don't know if it fits Suzu. I'd imagine her theme to be sleepier lol. Not like a lullaby, but something that sounds lethargic -.- zzzzzzz...

Yeah, I think that's one of the main things that the computer playback messes up; it tends to be rather bangy (is that a word?) in a lot of places. I'm pretty sure if I were playing it it would sound a lot more "lethargic" in at least some places, as you put it. (I almost didn't include an MP3 in the original post at all because it might give people the wrong impression of the piece.) Thanks for the feedback, though, and I do agree somewhat with it.

Yes, that is a factually correct statement. Let not your laptop's defiance prevent you from reading this fic.
