I agree, this list is all wrong. Maybe I'll make one too.

WTH bringing cost into it?

Rin would need something closed (to isolate herself) and also something that had a full range (because she is classy).


Also, let's face it, no-one wants to see somethign ugly and unsexy like HD25s or Sony 300's.

*Maybe* something like an AKG 270 because they still have a degree of sexiness.

Heh, that's why I can't stand Grado sets.

Well, I was listening to a pair of their SR80's today, and so were a few of my mates.

The reviews went from glowing to not too great.
Between the SR80's and my AKG's, two took the 80's, one took the AKGs and I was left undecided.
The Grados are definately more of a "reference" tool whereas the AKGs are more "listening" tools.
Also, I found the the 80's fatuiged me a lot quicker than the AKGs


Tomorrow we're going to do a bit of a shootout. On the list (so far) are the following:

AKG K240
Fostex T20
Beyer 2XX (Not mine, I can't remember the exact number)
Grado SR80
Grado GS1000
Sennheiser HD25s
Sony 3XX



Speaking of headphones (if you want to cahnge some of the girl's choices) I think the AKG 701's deserve a place in the list.
There's not many other "sexy" headphones out there, and Sennheiser's pathetic attempts at making their cans look good just end up making me think of shitty DJ headphones.
If you want to see high-tech looking done *right*, you need the Audiosones, the Portapros or maybe some of the Sony Audiophile offerings.

I could never imagine any normal high school student paying $800+ for a set of headphones; normal people use ear buds.

I can't imagine a normal school person having a heart attack and then being betset upon by 5 HEALTHY girls.

It's not about price, it's about the look of them compared to the girl's style, and *then* it's about what they all require from a technical standpoint (like closed-backes for Rin).

......... Nope. That's not the case.
I have more than a pair and can easily tell the difference in quality between them, even though I'm no enthusiast of the stuff. Needing headphones sucks when the ones you have are utter shit.
