Frequency Out of Range when going full screen on Arch Linux?

Whenever I try to fullscreen Katawa Shoujo on Arch I get a blank screen with a little monitor dialog saying "Frequency Out of Range". I'm not really sure where to go from here - I tried changing the refresh rate and running it in the terminal with --lint and --trace, but didn't really find out anything useful either time.

Nope, none of that solved the problem. I checked my metamodes and resolution and refresh rate, set all of them to auto, no go. I also manually set it to 60 hz and 75 hz refresh rate, still nothing. I didn't bother with the 800x600 trick because if it did even work taking screenshots would look distorted and awful.

Weird, it worked for me.

In my case it didn't (on a 1280x1024 screen, of course it might on bigger resolutions or with different aspect ratios), so I'd still suggest trying it. You can always revert if it does in fact look bad.
