ITT: We summarize our overall feelings on paths into one line quips. Discussion is fine, but I'm not trying to spur on favoritism. I just wanted to know what everyone took away from each path.

Emi: All my cute warm and fuzzy feels.
Rin: All my deeply introspective who-am-I feels.
Lilly: All my storybook happy ending forever love feels.
Shizune: No substantial feels, but all of my gut busting laughs.
Hanako: All my cute warm and fuzzy feels, except overshadowed by questionable morality.

Part 2: We summarize our boner rating out of 10 on the H-scenes in each path. DISCUSSION IS ENCOURAGED BECAUSE WE NEED SOME LAUGHS

Rin: 5
Lilly: 10 (DEAR GOD THE BLINDFOLD SCENE)
Shizune: 9

Fair enough, lets see.

Emi: A Tale about Cute, warm fuzzy feels and pointless drama.
Rin: A Tale about mindfucking awesomeness, also substance abuse.
Lilly: Storybook book romance, also saccharine overdose
Shizune: A tale about How Hisao Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the boobies.
Hanako: A Tale about Hisao, who devotedly undertakes and performs this most holy journey on the land of Jerusalem, then midway trough Hisao loses his horse and white tabard, a cute and awesome romance ensues.

I will now proceed to name all the routes after lines from Barenaked Ladies songs.

Emi: "Can I help it, if I think it's funny when you're mad?"
Hanako: "I know you must have loved me sometime, but now I'm just a toy. . ."
Lilly: "I love you more than I did the week before I discovered alcohol."
Rin: "If I had a million dollars, I'd buy you a green dress (but not a real green dress, that's cruel)."
Shizune: "Like Sting, I'm tantric, like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy."
Misha: "I only came here to talk!"
Kenji: "Frightened of jumping, lest they survive."

To me, each path portrayed a different type of relationship:
Lilly - Wife
Hanako - Daughter
Emi - Friend
Shizune - Co-worker
Rin - Some acquaintance you met once but you didn't really get along and then lost touch when she moved away to art school

On the routes:

Emi: Believable and fun. (2nd!)
Lilly: Straightforward and sweet. (3rd)
Hanako: Touching and a little dull. (5th)
Shizune: Surprising and deep. (1st!)
Rin: Weird and unsatisfying*. (4th)


On the sex scenes:

Emi: Believably fun. (3rd)
Lilly: Terrifyingly sensual. (1st!)
Misha: Surprisingly arousing. (4th)
Hanako: Unfortunately pity-inducing. (6th)
Shizune: Surprisingly awkward. (5th)
Rin: I don't care if the sex was weird and unsatisfying, and I don't care if the relationship with her was also weird and unsatisfying, Rin is to me the most physically attractive girl in the game and I still drool when I see art of her. (2nd!)



*Except for her bad end - the one involving watches and intimations of mortality - which I found the single most satisfying thing in the entire game, though also the most depressing.
