I think that scene is rather poignant. It kinda points out to you that Kenji is by no means your average dorm mate, hell he isn't even your unusual dorm mate.

Also whats not to like? It's Kenji! Manliest of men, Last man on the face of a planet overrun by women, men of women and feminists. He is an oasis of Testosterone in a desert whos sand and stone is the vast evil of the feminists, illuminati, anonymous etc.etc.

I actually found it pretty funny considering how little sense it makes..

Kenji's antics aside, nudity just isn't a big deal in public baths and showers in Japan. It's a culture thing.

Hell I got over it in while in the US Navy. Same deal in boot camp, except it was like showering with 60 guys at the same time.
