Countries and nationalities and KS.

Post by Mitsukage »

Hi hi, I'm new here.

Just finished 03 routes (Hanako, Lilly and Shizune)... I have to say that this game is nothing but AMAZING.
Sure, I will stick until the end of it! (Whahahaha~!)

Ive seen a lot of people liking this VS, and I started to wonder how many countries it has reached.
You see, Im from Brazil... here, some friends of mine are playing as well and they are really impressed (like I am).
It's so good that Im sure people all over the world will be playing it.

What do you fellas think?

So! Let's see... where are you from? :?:

Sorry for the bad english, just want to contact more people that played this great vnovel! :D

Thanks, mates! Seeya

I've seen this quote way too much when the English is perfectly good. Is this a meme or something?

Anyways, it's always nice to see some international fans. Filipino-American (who sadly knows more of both Spanish and Japanese than Tagalog) here!

Can't speak for people everywhere in the world, but a lot of non-native English speakers I've seen are rather self-conscious about their English ability and insist it isn't good. I suspect this is down to those people having respect and higher standards for the language, without realizing that the average native English speaker isn't really that good with English. Many of us also come from communities - virtual communities, too - with many people of foreign backgrounds, so we're pretty good at understanding 'bad' English, and many people wouldn't even recognize 'good' English.

Netherlands here, originally from Australia.

I was afraid that you would not understand me, haha!

So, it is like I thought!
Something so great... knows no country limits.
This is very interesting.

I do the same thing when communicating with native Spanish speakers, whether or not my Spanish is perfectly fine, I can't tell the difference! Obviously I do the best I can, but some errors or idiomatic expressions or awkward wording may be a little off-putting if people don't realize that it's a second language for me. I imagine it's the same for for many of these ESL speakers; better to let people know that you're doing the best you can and they will tend to be more forgiving if there are any mistakes or whatnot.
Would you come with me if I ran off to be a pirate?
