Ok, so I initially downloaded the just Act 1 V5 download by accident, intending to download the Full Version, but anyways, played through Act 1 before realizing my mistake and downloading the Full Version.

The question I have is dealing with the Hanako character. I remember that during the Act 1 V5, at one point Hanako comes to the classroom, looking for Lilly, who is not there because she is in her classroom, helping with preparations for the festival, and you go with Hanako to help her find Lilly, and subsequently help with the festival preparations but when I played through the act 1 in the full version that point came up, and she left, with you staying behind, even though I am fairly certain that I made all the same choices that I had in the Act 1 V5 download My question is, was there a change between the Act 1 V5 script/game and the Full Version, or was I wrong and did, in fact, do something different?

I don't know if this is a common thing among this type of game, as Katawa Shoujo is the first of this type of game that I have played. That being said, just from playing Act 1, I am thoroughly enjoying this game.

I do not believe that there is a difference between the demo and the full version. You probably didn't have enough Hanako/Lilly points to trigger the event. If memory serves, you have to stick up for Lilly in the Cold War scene, apologize to Hanako in the library, and call her cute when talking to Kenji in the hallway.

Definitely your own fault then. In fact, I ran the two side by side in order to see what had changed when I started Lilly's path (which is identical until the last choice), and no differences were that big.

Yeah, Hanako coming to fetch you before dropping by Lilly's classroom is a Lilly/Hanako route event. You picked the wrong choices the other time.

Note that whenever you reach a decision point, the order of the options on the screen is randomized (sometimes answer A is at the top and sometimes it's at the bottom), so if you're speed-playing through, it's not all that difficult to accidentally pick the wrong option.

You have to do two out of these three things: Ask Mishizune about the library, apologize to Hanako in the library, and/or tell Kenji she was cute when he asks. Then you have to go talk to Hanako when you are waiting after class and stick up for Lilly in the Cold War scene, after which you arrive at the scene you are talking about.

There are some differences, but nothing that affects the story.

The only differences I know of are
* Lelouch removed
* "I'm fine" option renamed
* Hanako's ending changed

Also, the opening movie is animated, but is almost exactly the same.

Plenty more from only checking Lilly's route:

* Some lines of dialog added/removed/changed/split/merged.
* Full screen text layout changed
* Added background for campus
* Added item overlays (bottle of pills, stuffed cat)
* Some added motion of background/sprites
* Emi's CG was changed a little (didn't spot that for a long time)
* Emi and Rin's name colours were flipped.
* Sprites were made lighter at night time.

The obvious music change and eye open/close effect are too obvious to list.
