Possible error in Shizune line

So in act four, after the conversation with Kenji and Shizune meeting each other for the first time.. you end up in the roof with Shizune. Then the day transition plays.. is it supposed to go immediately into "Succession?" It seemed very abrupt, and more likely an error.

That's how it played out.. Seemed pretty abrupt. The two new girl in "successors" weren't introduced or anything. Is this what's supposed to happen?

Not an error.
It's even got the ellipsis to show you are skipping right into the middle of a conversation.
