Making something for yourself or to give to someone as a gift is not going to disturb the Devs greatly. I'd imagine even if you are not very artistic yourself and pay to have a KS item made for your personal use/collection that would still be ok. (possibly more of a grey area.)
But it is a fact the Devs have responded to people selling KS merchandise ripped off from the Shimmie on the internet before. I can't really see them changing their minds now
I saw a thread awhile back where one of the devs said it was fine. As long as you're not endorsing it as an "official" KS product then it's fair-game, at least that was my understanding of it.

Also i can see as long as ur not making shirts and selling them to make profit
Just make them for yourself and friends. Dont sell or then its wrong

God Damnit.
As someone who has never made humanoid plush toys before, I decided to start off easy...
By starting with mai wa Lilly.
/facepalm
So far, I've finished her head.
Pictures of Yukkuri-Lilly (Yukkurilly? ohgodkillmenow) will be posted once I find my camera and am more conscious in the morning/afternoon.

So, uh... I think I mentioned earlier that I had finished making Lilly's head, and was going to post photos of it once I found my camera.
Hm.
I ended up finishing the whole plushy by the time I found the damned thing.

Plushy-Lilly is around 15cm (~6in) in height, and around 11cm (~4in) while sitting.
References used while making her include [shimmie=2538]this,[/shimmie] [shimmie=2531]this[/shimmie] and [shimmie=2496]this.[/shimmie]
Puffy sleeves make me want to cry.
Next on my to-make list is a toss up between Rin, Shizune and Hanako. I still need to find Emi's hair color and Misha's bead-eyes.
