When the pre-release(Act 1) was out I used to find him kind of weird and a bit annoying.

However having played a couple routes (Rins and Lillys) I think he's grown on me, like Hisao said on Rins path, he has this level of coolness about him hard to match. His concern for Hisao toward the end of Lillys path made me realize what a cool, genuine guy he really is, someone I'd like to have as a friend.

Surprisingly handsome too and almost a completely different character without his glasses which just reminded people that he is at the school for a reason.
