"Someone like you" by Adele.
Beats me why really, maybe one of the girls from the "pair" could sing something like that, if Hisao would end up with the other one. (as in, Emi&Rin, or Lilly&Hanako - not counting Misha for obvious reasons)

I dunno why, but the piano collection's version of Terra's theme from Final Fantasy VI kinda remidns me of Hanako.

Dunno why, but it just do.

And, to an extent of poor humor, a few Lil B's (troll) songs remind me of Hisao. Don't ask why.

Not much electronic fans as I see : )

For Hanako? Sasha - Magnetic North. Just as mysterious as this track:

Also, for Emi? What else, than Spor - The Running Man:

The energy in the track and her is quite similar, with some unpredictability of the genre drum and bass, fits perfectly.

I got myself some free time today (the circumstances were amusing), and so decided to take my time and translate three Hebrew songs which remind me of Katawa Shoujo. Obviously, these are neither official translations nor do they rhyme, or sound good, or are even very accurate. But they're what you get from me, for now.

The first is a sweet, amusing little song from 1991 named "A Girl With Glasses", by Yehonathan Gephen:
I once loved a girl with glasses
She saw me a little blurry
Such a beautiful young girl
But for two years
She never really saw me

Because of those windows of hers
We never really got to meet
She looked at me as if from within a prison
I could only guess about the emotions in her eyes

What didn't we do, with her glasses?
We held so tight in ups and downs
But no matter how close we were
There were always walls of glass between us

I loved once a girl with glasses... [first verse repeats]

For almost two years she never really saw me
Until one day she left
"I didn't wear my glasses (she said)
and he looked so much like you..."

What didn't we do, with her glasses?... [third verse repeats]

Such a beautiful young girl, but for two years
I could only guess about the emotions in her eyes
The second is a far more recent song (it's playing all over the radio these days, only came out like a month ago), called "We Will Be Alright", by Khami Rodner (note: this whole song is sung as if from a man to a woman. This is not very clear in English, a language which doesn't have gender-specific forms of "I" and "You"):
It's true that you didn't say a thing
I know
It's written all over your face
right now
Just don't confuse me with the one who hurt you
I am the home you return to

When memory becomes like a weight
When your hope is in chains
It's hard to go forward
while looking back
You trip
over every little obstacle

You've been hurt and you're in pain
I know
And your humiliation burns me too
I am sorry I don't have any important lesson to teach
But those scars
In my opinion, just know that they make you more beautiful

And if a pessimist like me says this
You can take it as a promise:
There is light in the darkness
There is light in the darkness
You'll see, we will be alright

Because I believe in you
You'll see, everything will be good
The last song is a very short children's song by Bi'lha' Iapha, from god knows how many years ago. I heard it randomly playing on a TV while visiting my brother's kindergarten and it immediately got me thinking about KS. Note that the girl in the song is not named Janie- I simply don't know how to spell her name in Latin letters without it looking ridiculous, so I simply changed it to a common English one:
I am a doll named Janie
I have been torn for a whole year
Everybody says to me that I am the most beautiful
Except that my legs are so terribly crooked

When we went on a walk
In the field and the orchard
Everybody said: "Janie is such a beautiful doll
except that her legs are so terribly crooked!"

I don't want people to mock me
(I don't want that) when I grow up
Everyone will point and say
"Janie is such a beautiful doll
but her legs are so terribly crooked!"
There are a few more, but none as worthy of translation.

I shed a manly tear today, when I heard that song in the radio, and realised... it's about Kenji. Just listen to the words.
Mad World by Gary Jules
And then imagine Kenji wearing that stupid bunny suit.

Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd does. Seriously.

It was a song I listened to often, and I played KS often, so they sort of became together.
The context (a free bird) reminds me of several free spirits (mainly Rin).
The soft part reminds me of the good and calm moments.
The guitar solo reminds me of the fast and exciting moments.
"And this bird you cannot change" reminded me of Emi's reluctance to change.

Thought I was crazy by saying Lynyrd Skynyrd? That's all I have to say.

Well, it finally happened. My Portal got into my Katawa Shoujo.

Now Exile Vilify seems surprisingly relevant to several of the characters for me.

Listening You by World's End Girlfriend. It's not that there's an emotional link or anything, it's just that I happened to discover the video by accident, since it was uploaded by the same person who uploaded this gem. So now I simply unconsciously associate the two.

Agreed. Though I still prefer Sting's version.

Speaking of which I suddenly made this right after finishing Lilly's path a few weeks ago. Yup. "Fields of Gold" really suits her.

After playing Emi's Route, a number of songs came to my mind.

Hisao's love for Emi reminded me of the unshakeable love of the Lord. This St. Louis Jesuit's song describes how I felt pretty well:
Though the Mountains May Fall, by Dan Schutte

Maybe it's just me, but I also think of this song when I play KS:
Hold Us Together, by Matt Maher

Dara Maclean's "Free" also came to my mind, but I can't find the version I'm used to hearing on the radio. :? The other versions on YouTube either aren't acoustic, or just aren't quite as good as the version I'm used to.

I can't say I know of any songs in particular, but pretty much anything involving a piano makes me think of KS.

Not to insult the game, cause I really like it (I have played two arcs now), but I found the music to be one of the weakest qualities and hence I opted to listen to my own music while playing. Listening to Anathema's new album matched it so well, it's ridiculous.
