Okay I've played this a bit and I'm gonna give my two cents for what I've played so hang on....

First the bad:to call this game H is ridiculous,so far I've seen bewbies and a few sex positions but H? I think not more like heavy E combine this with the whole "we want story and not so much H" herp derp and you get some pretty boring and bland H,really the team should have just not put it in at all or skipped the pictures 'cos the way it comes across right now is pretty much "I am holier then thou and I'll put my distaste for H in your face by making HORRIBLE stuff" okay fine you're so much better then us because you want story,fine,but to rub it people's faces is pure /b tard move~whatever.

Next the not so bad:the music sucks,maybe it's because I'm a metal head but I get an elevator music vibe from the crap they used,again whatever,I put on some Black Sabbath and roll on.
Next the stories...en a bit too much drama and angst for my tastes,I'd seriously slap the shiat out of some of these girls and tell'em to cut it out.

Now the good:despite all the mistakes or retard level idea flexing...it's a good game,funny and enjoyable to play,you get past some of the more derpy moments and you can get a good laugh from it and a few "d'aww" parts.

So I would recommend it to people who wanna try something different,and who knows? maybe we can get some fan games made now? it'd be interesting.

So you bastards have done well,maybe a bit stuffy for my tastes but you do have talent and I applaud that-bravo and good fortune to whatever you do next.

1.) I thought that the H-scenes were very well-done and tasteful. I would have preferred a footjob from Rin... (how could you guys!?!?!? ) BUT at least there weren't excessive amounts of random blowjobs and distracting, uncharacteristic sex-scenes.

2.) I though the music was lovely. Wiosna makes me even tear up a bit. (Oh I love metal too, but soft music can always tug the heart strings!) And Black Sabbath on a VN? Amon Amarth would be a much better choice! Kidding aside, metal on a romantic VN would be plain retarded, sorry to say...

3.)I'm guessing you came for fap material? Sorry, believe it or not, many VN's are purely romantic in nature. (Possibly not even that.)

Also, I'm pretty sure if you slapped the shit out of Hanako she would be scarred for life. More than usual...

1-With how they were done I thought it best they just left it out,ether DO some H and give some playful "experimentation" with different things or just leave it out.

2-I listen to horror metal (i.e. Misfits,Wednesday 13 et cetera) on Christmas,I'm a little warped

Your the only person that I've seen have these distaste you seem to have, and for good reason.

It is technically a H-game, though more a VN, it has sex scenes, but just a few per character ( I suspect, only finished lilly route so far, having hard time doing others ) which to me is perfect, far too many sex scenes can ruin the great story this game has, a few make it seem like an actual realistic teen couple with healthy sex drives...and disabilities thrown in.

And to me I loved all the music ( Though again admittedly, you said you were one, but I despise metal ), I thought it fit well to the academy, the characters, etc

You seriously can't open a game like this while horny and expect to be able to insta-fap and then close it. I didn't even play it for the H parts at all.
There's nothing wrong with the music. You should be glad that you have the possibility to go to the options and turn down the volume so you can listen to Black Sabbath, which is kinda stupid.
Don't take me wrong, I love Sabbath, but it doesn't go well with KS in my humble opinion. Either way, it's your right to listen to whatever you want while playing.
About the drama, seriously? I think most of the girls have more backbone than the MC... but that's just me!

So yes. KS does classified as a H-game.

2) Everyone's preference is different.

KS is more towards story, and understanding its character, by putting yourself into their shoes.
Which makes u experience all kinds of emotion. Be it you look from Hisao or the Heroine's perspective.
Even the H-scenes, are used as a tool to imply certain story about the characters. Not as a mean for guys' fantasy.

If it is not your cup of tea, move on..

Yeah if you're not a fan of romance games then you're probably not going to like Katawa Shoujo, in the same way you probably wouldn't like Clannad or any other number of great VN games out there, I think it's less that the game is full of problems and more that you aren't really a fan of the genre. But to each their own, and for someone who went in expecting a Hentai game I've gotta give you props for sticking through the whole game and giving it a try.

I disagree with your opinions of the game (or VN, to be more acurate); but I can respect you for at least giving it a shot - plenty of people out there like to critize without any actual hands-on experience. Hope you try to go through all the story arcs though - might suprise yourself and like it more then you thought you would (of course, it depends what your looking for in it, and if your actually interested in the various backkstories ultimately)

some of the effect can be lost if you skim through the text, though its understanble since some of it can feel like a wall of text doing a critical hit, lol.

Ultimately, the game isnt meant to be a H based game, it more jsut warns that there is mature scenes~

Yeah I have to say I can't imagine myself playing a VN that the OP would approve of but fair cop for giving it a go. Good to see you took something positive from it as well.
