Scene: The Anchor

Where Hisao is talking to Kenji about the letter from Iwanako, he points out that a phone call or email is faster, and that writing a letter is a way to keep distance between them. But then there's this part:

Hisao
"If I had her number, I could call her, or if I had her mail, I could mail her. If she really wanted to hear back from me, she would have dropped one of those in there."

Obviously, "mail" in the above refers to email; but given that he is discussing the differences between phone/email/regular mail, I think using "mail" is unnecessarily confusing and should be disambiguated by specifying email.

You don't need mail to write a letter, you need an address. Technically, you need an address for email too, but no one says that colloquially.
