Why is it that I desire chocolate so much now (or a Hanako H-scene) [if you don't know the chocolate joke, here's a link to the fan-made strip with it: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/25 ... c.jpg/sr=1]? Before the release was confirmed I was much less concerned with hentai and more concerned with the plot, but with the release so close it's oddly enough switched. You'd think it'd be the other way around, but... ugh. Anyone else feel a strong chocolate fetish now with the release in less than 10 days? And will the chocolate be one of the advertisements that will be in the free version (see most recent 04/01 joke on blog), i.e. "GIMME THE (GODIVA) CHOCOLATE HISAO!", where Godiva is removed in the Steam version?

Chocolate, no, but I was rereading old Penny Arcade strips the other day, and the one about deaf pornography was suddenly cast in a whole different light for me.

Anyway, as far as being concerned with the H-scenes goes in relation to time, it's just been a whirlwind of shit for me. Sometimes it's like the eye of the storm and I'm really calm and thinking "I fully expect the H-scenes to ruin the game and turn it into a fapfest. But that won't stop me from enjoying what little of it I can. Come at me bro." Other times I'm huddled up in the fetal position saying to myself "Nonono I won't turn the scenes on I won't let them do that to me." And some times I might be flying high and say that "I have complete faith in the developers and I'm sure that things will be handled lovingly." And sometimes I see things that sway me very far to one side, then something else comes up and jerks me around some more.

Looking back on that I wish we were just talking about chocolate

I like chocolate. Got some Strawberry Milka and Chocolate Orange slices for Christmas, but that's not why we're her.

I'm the opposite, I wanted the H scene when I first heard about the game, but as my perverted side has somewhat whittled away I'm now aching and for the story, the relationships and the trials and tribulations those relationships will face.

I also like Milky bar.

I definitely wanna see it all. I wanna see how daring the devs have been with this material, and how far they've been willing to push the envelope. This could potentially break some new ground for visual novels. Imagine for example, if we get to learn that Hisao gets off from licking Emi's stumps. So yeah, my body is ready. Gimmie the "chocolate", KS devs.

While I am looking forward to (With unhealthy levels of anticipation) the H scenes the plot, great writting, and charecters are what fuel my interest for KS at this point. As well as needless to say the fun I have wasting time on these forums. So even though I understand where your coming from, my gaze remains firstly towards the plot.... Then the porn.

So heartwarming.

Anyway, I do suggest that the H-fiends also try out the "disable adult content" option, just for kicks. I wouldn't dream to ask for the reverse, of course.

I think with the care obviously put into part 1 that this group of devs care enough about thier project that they are at least trying to make something better than just another fap fest disguised as a game. I doubt they will handle the H scenes with the silly over the top nonsense I see in the majority of eroges I've read, at least, that's what I'm hoping for. Seems silly to me to turn off the scenes since sex is a large part of relationships, including teens. It's just a matter of how well or how badly the devs handle the scenes on whether or not they are a part of the overall story or just added in for readers to take a break from the story to get thier rocks off.

I'm looking forward to them as a part of the game, for sure, but I don't feel they're the central reward. They are definitely part of that reward, but the story and the characters involved therein are what keep me personally invested. As has been said, sex is a part of relationships, and the game to me seems centred around the development and exploration of those, rather than giving pointless wanking material. The conclusion of the story surrounding these relationships, sex and all, are ultimately the reward in my eyes.

Chocolate is nice. Chocolate is awesome. Chocolate is being locked in my wardrobe so I don't eat it all and gain god knows how much weight over the course of a week because it's Christmas and my relatives love giving chocolate as a present. Chocolate is smooth. Thus, chocolate is a lubricant. Like graphite...

But yeah, I'm in dire straits over the h-scenes. On one hand, I feel it may cheapen the feel of the game and be a bit of a roadblock for the, but on the other hand, I doubt it won't be handled well and may even help the story along. I'm really, really caught up in it. Especially when I get to thinking that skipping the stuff might skip out on the slightest amount of character development or background, and that's a personal hell of mine.

I skipped the H-Scenes of the VNs I played lately. They seem always the same and sometimes forced into the game to attract a certain type of readers. And it isn't really something to read if it is just moaning mixed with fragments of words.
Guess I will give it a try though.

I pretty much always skip through the ero scenes while skimming the text. I don't feel they're worth reading since they're always a sudden and boring pause to an otherwise awesome experience.

Some VN sex scenes have made me laugh, but I've never felt they were worth the time. Sometimes they ruin the characters and i block them out of my mind for the sake of enjoying the rest of the story.

I'm not really interested in the H-scenes, and in the few VNs I've played they've done nothing except disgust me and detract from the story. However, I feel like I'm missing out on content if I disable them. It's very much like me refusing to watch episode 17 of a show because I haven't seen episode 16. If they're handled as tastefully as Act 1, however, instead of just graphic romp-fests, then I'm sure even I won't have any issues with them.
