To commit the sin of posting a reply to the original question without regard for the intervening discussion:

Yes, I would like a non-H version at the end. After playing through Act 1 enough to get 98%, I enjoyed it so much I'm eager to share it with my wife. I would love to be able to share the final product with her as well, but I think H will turn her off. This is such an amazing product, being able to flip a toggle that would replace explicit sex with something more tame, such as cuddling and falling asleep together, would please me.

I understand that this adds workload or, at the very least, complexity to the final program. In the end, considering the quality of the product, I'll take what I can get. Not including this option will not lose me as a player. But it will my wife.

It's a really sweet story that could do even without H, so I think that one without H for people like me who thinks that way, would be a great idea! I would read/play it... =3
I know i'm just suposed to be lurking but I second this with all my heart and soul.
Have you no hope that the writers will portray sex in a tasteful manner such that it becomes an important and enriching part of the story, just as it can be in our own lives?
I do have a lot of hope, due to the fact that act 1 was really well written, but unless the final game stretches over a year, and that he only gets sex in the end, then I think that it might be unpleasant with the H scenes. Just because it doesn't happen so fast. In most cases it doesn't.

For example, I couldn't imagine Rin having sex until marriage.

I'm speechless...no, not quite.

Replay her route in the demo. Subtle flirtation and innuendo abound, and it all goes right over Hisao's head, as it apparently did yours.

I didn't interpret it as flirting. Innuendo and bawdy jokes, maybe, but I saw it as just more of her being weird and a bit off.

I know a lot of girls that would say that in the same way as Rin did, and with nothing sexual or flirting involved, but just for the fun of it. Meh.

It comes down to knowing the personality of the girl saying the remarks. In Hisao's situation where he is new to the school and the girls I think a little bit of of ignoring leading remarks is in character for him.

But this VN IS about flirting and developing a physical relationship between Hisao and one of the girls. There will be intamacy; both emotional and physical. I am sure it will be done in both a tasteful and appropriate manner for the storylines. I have confidence in the developers from watching Act 1.

I was just teasing you with the Rin quote, not using it as an example.

For someone cerebral like Rin, I would consider showing off a core principal to the way she approaches life a form of flirtation, not to mention fliping her hair and teasing him with a smile. That's how I go about it. Throw in a couple of non-sequiturs to knock her off balance and gauge how she reacts; if she recovers and continues to talk to me she's alright. Then it's time to see if she has a functional intellect behind those eyelashes.

Not a lot of people stick around after that though, so maybe I just fail at flirting. *shrug* Then again, I also fail at small talk and gossip. They make no sense to me. If I don't have anything of substance to say I don't see a reason to waste energy on meaningless noise.

why didn't tried it??
All ages version would be good too just like the Act 1 right?
i ask my friend to play KS and he said "it will be good if no H-Scenes inn this game 'coz this game can became a good experience"
but i didn't said that the normal will be bad..... didn't i?
so if you can make the all ages version why not???
Ps.I love this game story so much the H-VN/Non-H won't make my love changed!

The people who are doing the work decided from the begining that the story they wanted to make would include explicit scenes. They are the artists and this is the story they want to create. They DO have an option in the game to skip the intimate scenes for everyone who does not want to see them. The scenes that are skipped will move the the story forward somewhat so if a person does skip they will lose some of the story. All in all they (4LS) have been pretty considerate of thier audience. :D

someone might have mentioned this in 12 pages, but cant you just take the regular game, set it to "no-h" and then remove the toggle from the menu and package that as the all ages version?

I should probably eventually register or sign up but I'm lazy heh.

Let me tell you a little bit about me. I'm a 28 year old, straight, female. I've been playing videogames since atarii. Videogames and anime are my main hobbies in life. My experience with visual novel and dating sim games began a few years ago. I have under my belt completed: Tsukihime (which the main character in your game sorta reminded me of), Clannad (an all ages game which is probably my favorite dating sim/VN), Most of Hirameki's games (which have had all of their H scenes removed before being commercially released in north america.) And several untranslated/japanese games such as Princess Maker (although I've played the english version of that as well) and Tokimeki Memorial Girl's side.

It's not "just perverts" Who play these games (someone made that comment early in this discussion and it kinda bothered me.) -- It's THAT attitude that keeps great games like princess maker, sentimental graffiti, and tokimeki memorial from ever being released in North America. It is a fallacy and a myth and a cliche stereotype but one that most game developers for some reason take as fact. It really bothers me that people are that closed minded.

That said I'm not bothered by H if it's done in an artistic way such as with Tsukihime where there were maybe 2-3 H scenes in each path and each path was over 10 hours long and the H seemed fitting for the scene. Tsukihime is actually the only H game I've played because I feel embarrassed to play H around my family, friends, or boyfriend (even though we've watched porn together, it just feels weird that I would play something with rampant wildly random H and have someone walk by and be like WTF? Time and place for everything sort of thing). I have read that the dev team wants the H to be akin to a hollywood movie or some such more than a Porno which I think is a good thing. I think inappropriate use of H would detract from the story, but carefully, well written and well placed H could add to the story.

I would play an all Age Version. But I would be equally ok with an H version if the H was sparse and well timed.

For potential humour, re-read this thread assuming that every usage of "H" stands for "Preperation H" instead of "hentai".

Definitely going to use the available setting, I only asked the question on the forums (Would you use the function that disabled H-scenes in the full game) to see what other peoples opinions on it were. I guess the general answer was no but I definitely will be using it. I think though that only if it were advertised (Alot) the non-adult version would gather popularity. Otherwise good luck and I eagerly await the full version regardless if it is more appealing to those who don't want the adult content.
Lulz wrote:Since I'm pretty much one of the folks responsible for the "offhand" comment, I'll contribute.

First off, if the sex is taken out, seeing as this is a game about people with disabilities, it could and would reach out to the numerous disabled people around the world. If we cater this game towards them, as well as the original audience with the non-H version, and the perverts with the regular version, we may be able to reach out to a very large audience.
Hmm what about Perverted Disabled people? (This probably has been asked numerous times but I never got around to reading all of the posts.)

Eh, my two cents. From reading this thread, people seem to be overreacting. 4LS is making the game with love scenes. There will be a toggle to black them out. Offering an "all ages" download with that built in doesn't seem like any more work than the toggle itself, and would neatly accommodate all the issues I can recall brought up in this thread.
