When I watched the first season of the anime, I had to take long breaks between the episodes, to cope with the emotions and the confusion. Mostly the confusion, actually.
It doesn't work as well in the anime though, mostly because the third-person perspective can't help but give you more information than the first-person perspective in the VN. I still really like it, and you can catch so many references once you've already finished the story.

You know what? I just don't get it!

Whenever I try to be a nice guy, spend time with my girlfriend (and only my girlfriend) and politely reject the other girls, Makoto ends up being a douchebag. But when I try my hardest to be a douchebag (and I mean Nomiya-Jigoro-Kenji-douchey), I end up with lots of girls loving me, but no H-scenes! How come I only get H-scenes och awkward scenes when I'm the nice guy/Makoto is a douche? :o

School Days is complicated. But on the other hand, so is Kanon.

EDIT: I just got my first "awkward scene" (fondling some boobs at the crowded train), and I've been a real ass, trying to get a harem. Guess what Makoto does? He acts like a freaking saint and makes all the right decisions (i.e. to be faithful to Kotonoha) without me having to tell him! It's so confusing! :O

There's also the fact that both Kotonoha and Sekai are pretty thick, and often do the opposite of what you'd expect. Then again, isn't that how all girls are? GENERALIZATION, HOOOOOOOOOO! Oh, and Makoto/Setsuna OTP. :)

Kanon was rather straightforward from what I remember, the choices mostly boiled down to "spend time with X or Y". Then again, there was this, which had me laughing way more than it should have:

Ah, Kanon, those were fun times :D

Oh. Interesting. I thinks I would try Kanon after finished Higurashi. I thinks I might like to play VN with choices.

By the way, I'm now playing Daibanchou (Big Bang Age) from Alicesoft, and just read a book that said your wife will felt betrayed if she catch you seeing a porn or kind-of. Even through I am single, I suppose it is weird if I said I like some H-game because of gameplay that's not involving how to f*** girl? :?

This. A thousand times this.

There was that part when:
Take her->Leap-->Parry= GOOD END
Take her-->Run for it-->Parry = BAD END
If Yuichi choose Leap-Parry, he'll be stabbed by his own sword. But if he choose Run-Parry, nothing will happen. Did that leap 5 minutes prior to the parry really affect the way the sword bounced on the window frame?

I don't feel like reading all of the previous pages to see if "The President is my Girlfriend" has been posted in here. I enjoyed it. It has 4 paths and a nice story line for each of them. There are also 10 H-Scenes.

Not really, most of the VNs I've read I would have enjoyed as much or sometimes even more if they didn't have H-scenes.
Oh, and the correct form is "I think", just so you know

I've thought of a great way to describe School Days: the adventures of a guy who doesn't think 5 minutes forward, an repressed nympho and a girl that literally says the opposite of what she thinks. If you think about it that way, then all of their actions are completely rationalized
Oh, and I laughed my ass off at the ending where Setsuna comes back from France, pregnant.

I'd have to reread it to know for sure, but I'm guessing it has something to do with what she teaches you during training.

But it still makes no sense.

Btw, I'll stop quoting posts with spoiler tags. It kinda ruins the point.

First impression of Kanon : I left protagonist's name as it is and watch intro for canon's sake, which I am impressed about name as they narrates it and awe-stucked by intro. As it is not my first time hearing it's theme song, I think anime-maker chosen wisely to use it as V2 anime's intro. Kanon may have way too much choice, which I actually might like that. But it's art may be something I have to getting accustomed with.

Higurashi : Moral of the day : Jigoro aren't in a end of the Most As****** Human in VNs.

It might have many decision point compared to KS, but it's virtually nothing compared to Clannad.

(MINOR?) SPOILER OF A CERTAIN PART IN SCHOOL DAYS. DON'T READ IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO PLAY IT SOON.
@Flutterz, please read it anyways. :)

Friday:
Sekai and Makoto decide to have a sleepover at Sekai's house because her mom won't be home Saturday evening. Later that evening, Sekai is told that she'll have to break up with Makoto 'cause she'll be moving to Paris. Sekai then tells Setsuna about it and Setsuna replies that she'll take care of it.
Saturday evening?
For some reason, Makoto isn't with Sekai. Setsuna visits him and they have sex.
Monday morning:
Sekai's mother returns from Paris, wakes Sekai and tells her about how they'll have a great time in Paris. Meanwhile, Sekai recieves a text from Setsuna, presumably saying something about Saturday evening.

There wasn't a single paus between the scenes, making it very hard to know what happened. I had to guess the dates and times, based on details to small to mention.

All I have to say is: what the hell just happened? I'm guessing Makoto feels the same thing, seeing how he immediately in the next scene asks Setsuna what happened (they're in school). Setsuna replies, "I'll take care of it", the very same thing she told Sekai earlier.

If you know something about this, please answer without spoiling anything. Remember that these tags don't work when quoting.

Well, I have noticed that sometimes you get scenes that would normally make sense, but because of one choice or another you miss a scene before it which explains what happens, and so you end up with a scene out of context. I've had a similar scene to yours. I don't remember if there was going to be a sleepover, but Sekai and Setsuna find out that Sekai is going to be transferring out.
Bigger spoiler :P:Setsuna and Makoto pretend to have sex to make Sekai jealous and not just accept it and transfer. She gets her mother to not move so she can stay with Makoto, so Setsuna's mother gets the offer instead and everything ends with Makoto and Sekai seeing Setsuna off at the airport. There is one other ending in the same arc, but it's quite clearly a bad end, and doesn't deserve a mention.
Just for curiosity's sake, can you take a look at the route map and tell me where that ending is?

I have no idea where that ending is. It's not like the names are written on the lines.
