KS on the Super Nintendo

A lot of people don't know that KS is actually a remake of the original Katawa Shoujo for the Super Nintendo back from 1995. The cartridges are very rare, so it's hard to find them. I was lucky and managed to get my hands on one of them. Here are some screenshots:

Just kidding, it's something I made with the
RPG Maker 2000. I always wanted to make my own game with it, but I never finished any of the projects I started.

The fun I had with RPG Maker, good ol' memories of it. Not bad with the sprites
. Even the cut-out have the 16-bit block effect look on it
.

At first I thought that plant in Hisao's room was a poplar.

Did you actually remake part of KS or just cobble together enough for screenshots?
I used to have RPG Maker XP back before it turned out that Postiality Knights edition was less than legal, and I even finished a project as well as making a couple others, one of which was lost in hard drive failure and the other I realised I was just testing what I could do with variables and events (character relation floating variables, party selection option, a devkit zone full of essentially cheat codes, cutscenes, a quiz mini game involving shooting fireballs at a dragon, a collection of minigames based on finding things in a time limit, wandering monsters rather than a set encounter rate, etc, etc) and that it had a terrible plot and no real thread of gameplay.

Like a good portion of the games that make it onto store shelves anyway when they shouldn't. You shouldn't let stuff like that stop you from having fun creating stuff for yourself. Maybe not with that software package but there are others, right?

Ha, I truly am an SMT fanboy, even if Shin Megami Tensei had a first person rather than an overhead view. When you say 'Super Nintendo RPG' most may think Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, games like that, but I think Shin Megami Tensei.
Anyways, that is pretty good. You do those sprites yourself?

Awesome, so we really might get Katawa Shoujo on the Nintendo 3DS. With that space technology and an improved physics engine, be prepared for the 'boing' of two round things popping out! That's right, your eyes shooting out from the awesomeness!

I believe most of you are too young to remember playing this.
