A wallpaper based on the original sketch by Raita (http://shimmie.katawa-shoujo.com/post/view/9). I like this stupid canvas-texture-effect of Gimp. I made the 1440x900 version because that' the size of my monitor and you can't really see the canvas-texture anymore if you just shrink the 2560x1600 version.

Cool, I like that canvas texture also. While neither size is a perfect fit on my monitor (1680 x 1050) the 1440 x 900 version looks nice with black framing it.

After getting used to the current characters we have now, just looking at these ones is just so... Weird.

I can't look too long or else everything will seem weird!

I feel the same thing but you still have to give props for the design.
Without this piece we would never be where we are today.

I agree. Lilly is cool as she is. Nice and healthy looking. a strong ojou- sama.
Some guys prefer these types over the weak "oh, help me" ones

It seems like Lilly's the one that's changed the most from the original ideas - which is good, since the only thing Raita said about her is that she's "a bit cliché." I mean, I guess she still is as far as being your archetypal sweet and caring yamato nadeshiko, but it's pulled off very convincingly IMHO.

I like how you put it. As we see the girls have been put in pairs that sort of balance each other out. Rin-Emi, Hanako-Lilly, Shizune-Misha. If you look at their personalities, in this case the Hanako-Lilly pair, Lilly is stronger and more comfortable around people than Hanako who is incredibly shy around others and more closed off. If Lilly had been more frail as you state then that would be hard for them to balance each other out. I don't think they would have been together if not for the current case.

You guys are getting the wrong idea. I wasn't talking about having her actually be fragile, but just look like it, as in visually. Looks don't have to correspond to personality.
