I've noticed this more and more. People repeatedly asking "Is Emi popular yet" or responding to shimmie posts featuring Emi with some advice about how to become more popular. After the Devs posted "Am I Going to Be Popular Now?" on the blog, these statements about Emi's popularity have reached an all time high.
So I believe that "Is Emi popular yet?" is now a meme.

Emi's popularity had its heyday a while back, but pretty much everyone knows what this is about. Now, it's seen less often, but brought up occasionally. Aside from that, Emi already has another meme associated with her.
It's a good thing Shizune is deaf, she is the only one who can stand (not) hearing "Wahaha~!" over and over.
