This is my Kenji cosplay that I did for New York Anime Fest. I really didn't want to pay money for a green suit and dress pants so I decided to dress up as a "casual" Kenji. Kenji is a pretty anti-social guy so he needs some liquid courage to be able to step outside and infiltrate the feminist gathering hence the whiskey flask. The hogwarts scarf and round glasses are his trademark so those were a definite item. The Konichiwa Bitches shirt was chosen because Kenji wants to appear tough even though deep down inside he just wants to be loved. The jeans were chosen because my mom bought them for me because they were on sale. Plus I had a hat to disguise myself.

People still thought I was Harry Potter, though.

That's what I get for buying the official Harry Potter glasses and the official Harry Potter scarf. I bought a pair of coke-bottle glasses, but the frames were way too thick.

It actually works out pretty well, good job. Maybe next time you'll have a green suit.

i was thinking of doing kenji for sdcc but was worried people would confuse me for harry. i ended up going as tuxedo mask and getting confused for the phantom of the opera.

go to Goodwill or something, you can probably find a cheap green coat. either way, you rock just for doing KS cosplay. it's the flask that really makes it.

Do the green suit next time, people won't mistake you for harry potter. Or wear something along the lines of ALL WOMEN ARE EVIL.

I had to get my hair cut a few weeks ago since it got past my eyes. My brother had the perfect hair and body type of Kenji, though. I took some pics of him with my costume and it's scary how he's almost the spitting image of him. But I'm not going to post his pictures until I get his permission.

also, not bad Cosplay of Kenji. The coat would have helped though.
