Why do people only ever seem to spend 10 minutes drawing Hanako?

In b4 because there's only half of her to draw.

Mods' patience runs thin sometimes. We're all human.

Timed art exercises are very useful to a developing artist. Don't apologize for doing (or posting) them.

If you actually read the thread, you'll notice that nobody, in fact, has actually commented on the fanart itself. Almost every post past the first is off topic because Crud derailed any constructive criticism before it could start, so the OP is understandably distressed. There's no cause for you to be snide about that.

Anyway, to bring things on topic...

There's a contradiction in the way you've shaded her. Her eye makes it look as though she's lit from below and off the the right, but her hair looks like she's under a spotlight. Where is the light source supposed to be coming from? If she is spotlit, you might also add a little shading just below her hairline.

I like the way you did the scarring; It adds a sense of texture.

woot! thanks mate
you made my day as the first comment

anyways, i always draw the ladies eyes that way
gradient from the top to the bottom :D
i forgot to do shading on her hair :(
which will make the spotlight looks like its from the top

i always do the spotlight from the top

the scarring :D
thanks mate. i thought of drawing the scars
with random lines gradient
