Besides the BGM.

Lilly: Progressive Metal
Emi: Speed Metal
Rin: Folk Metal
Hanako: Doom Metal
Shizune: Black Metal
Misha: Glam Metal

Also post your crappy song lyrics/youtubes, but only the relevant parts k

Hanako
My skin is like a map
Of where my heart has been
And I cant hide the marks
Its not a negative thing
So I let down my guard
Drop my defences down by my clothes
I'm learning to fall
With no safety net to cushion the blow

I bruise easily
So be gentle when you handle me
Theres a mark you leave
Like a love heart carved on a tree
I bruise easily
Can't scratch the surface
Without moving me underneath
I bruise easily
I bruise easily

I found your fingerprints
On a glass of wine
Do you know you're leaving them
All over this heart of mine too
But if I never take this leap of faith
I'll never know
So I'm learning to fall
With no safety net to cushion the blow

Anyone who can touch you
Can hurt you or heal you
Anyone who can reach you
Can love you or leave you

Shizune
Nash Sovetskiy Soyuz pokaraet
Ves' mir ot Evropy k Neve na vosto-ok
Nad zemleoy vezde budut pet'
Stolica, vodka, Sovetskiy medved' nash!

Vse narody zdes' stoyat togo,
Chto my vse voplotili na svet,
Blagodarnyy nizkiy poklon
Ot sa-moy mo-gu-sches-tvennoy v mire!

Our Soviet Union subjugates the whole world
Like a gigantic bear from the East.
The sheep wander aimlessly, without any cause,
Yet the Soviet bear's on the hunt.

To all those around us, it's not worth your while
If we were to turn you to ashes.
We thank you profoundly, and bow to you deeply,
From the mightiest nation in all the world.

Iwanako
Memories of when we were young
Wishing so bad to be older
Now you may look to the past
The only way forward

...Lighting up another cigarette
Playing cool while cracking up inside
Saying hi to people's like saying goodbye
Laughing, but wishing to cry

Gentle change of tides
Upcoming days
Oh, the spirits of a new horizon fall
Into old dreams

Standing here howling at the storm
Shouting how life could be perfect
Well, then the walls have to fall
To start it again

Hisao
Sometimes we may lose the power from within
Feeling restless of the world we're in
Thinking what do we do, seems prayers never get through
On this life's merry-go-round

Don't ever forget that life has its ups and down
Don't give into the downs you've been through

Love will save your heart
In times you feel alone
There's a soothing light coming from up above
Love will save this world
Its power will take flight
It will lead us to a brighter place

As I walked around looking in the sky
I've known only sadness but it made me smile
Cause I know that on this long and lonely road
I'll get through, I'll reach higher ground

I'll be with you always, an undisputed saint
Happiness is not so far away

Love will save your heart
You'll never be alone
Cause I'll be around to shield you from the storm
Love will save this world
Its efforts will delight
It will give you strength to light the light

I think the genres of metal you posted were pretty much spot on.

When I thought of Shizune, this would be her exactly is she could speak/hear.

"Doing 120 getting head while I'm swervin'"
Shizune Incarnate.
Misha would take the place of Andy Samberg, of course.

From the Medieval II: Total War soundtrack, "Lilly" reminds me of...you know who. It's a compilation of the regional music (mostly the Mediterranean countries, such as Italy, Spain, and Byzantium), and is soft, quiet, and full of strings.

I can't even begin to tell you how appropriate that song is, because I love it and yet it pisses me off at the same time. It's beautiful, but there's so much Goddamn empty space.

It's taunting me, I'm sure of it.

Hanako's character can be expressed thus:

I think that anything by Andy McKee would fit in some place or another. His prowess as acoustic guitar player and composer is awesome.

Granted, Rin's red hair+green eyes would associate her with Celtic folk metal as opposed to Scandinavian folk metal, but it's crazy all the same.

Well, I guess that's acceptable as long as it's drunken Scandinavians making it, and not slovenly American nerds.

Finland is not in Scandinavia... (Korpiklaani, the band that's playing in the video, is Finnish)

Anyways, I'm going with what OP posted.

Finland is very closely tied historically and culturally (especially in music) to Scandinavia, even if they aren't ethnically or geographically related.

Anyway, as much as I would like to compare Rin to the Swedish Chef, I didn't really have that particular song in mind when I associated her with Folk Metal... but rather the juxtaposition of "folk" and "metal" itself, which I think is displayed well in this track because of the polka bass thing:

I don't think of much music when I think of Hanako. If I did, it would probably be this:

For lack of any significant impression, here's a random song for Shizune:

Misha reminds me of this:

Lilly reminds me of this, but just for irony's sake:

Emi is like this:

For Rin, I dunno. When I think Rin I think of some more strange stuff.
Is this too strange?

Or should it be something a bit more tame, like this?

Lets see

For Rin I would chose Shoegazing or something that is similarly slow and trippy.

For Shizune not a genre but a band, and that band is Cake. Mostly for the deadpan singer and the either you love it or hate it music.

For Emi I think Ska suits her best. its peppy its fun and to some its annoying. (also the image of emi skankin' is way cute.)

For Hanako something Depressing yet not CRAWWLING IIIINNN MYYY SKIIIINNNNN, I'll go with Indie pop.

For Lilly I'll go with New Wave. because she is one classy motherfucker. (I couldn't come up with anything better.)

Misha is a ball of WAHAHAHAHA~~ And I cant stand it. Music Related

Kenji is the baddest motherfucker around and knows the truth bout dem bitches.

Right. Some of these are pretty crappy, but the best I could find. I don't know how to upload the higher quality versions I own. *shrug*

Lilly: Mood For a Day – Steve Howe (skip to 4:50 and ignore the visuals, they're a joke),
And Mast in the Mist – Yoko Kanno (you may want to turn up your volume for this one, a lot, it's really soft)

Emi: Precious Things – Tori Amos
So I ran faster, but you caught me here.
Yes my loyalties turned,
Like my ankle in the seventh grade,
Running after Billy.
Running after the rain.

These precious things, let them be, let them wash away.
These precious things, let them break, their hold on me.

He said, “You're really an ugly girl, but I like the way you play.”
And I died, but I thanked him.
Can you believe that, sick, holding on to his picture,
Dressing up every day?

These precious things, let them bleed, let them wash away.
These precious things, let them break, their hold on me.
Why I think she runs so early every day: Every Failure – Charon
Race, the evil haunts you,
The night is through and tomorrow loves to watch you die.

The unknown, grim and bleak,
And this blight of life becomes a crimson strife.
The sin of loveless caused by a need to escape,
Escape to...

Every little pain that rains to black our skies,
Every little pain you have ever faced will take you down.
Every little pain that rains to black our skies,
Every little pain you have ever embraced will haunt you,
Haunt you like it's part of you.

Can't bring desire,
But you'll feel the night,
Can't feed the fire that you are,
The sweet delusion.
Still you feel the night.
Hanako: Darling Don’t Be Frightened – Ellery. It’s track 4 under the album, “You Did Everything Right.” (first one, can't miss it) Just click the 'play' symbol next to it and follow the 'Lyrics' link or scroll down the page to read along with it.

Rin: Speed of Sound – Coldplay
How long before I get in, before it starts, before I begin?
How long before you decide, or before I know what it feels like?
Where to, where do I go? If you never try then you'll never know.
How long do I have to climb up on the side of this mountain of mine?

Look up. I look up at night, planets are moving at the speed of light.
Climb up, up in the trees. Every chance that you get is a chance you seize.
How long am I gonna stand with my head stuck under the sand?
I'll start before I can stop, or before I see things the right way up.

All that noise and all that sound, all those places I got found,
And birds go flying at the speed of sound, to show you how it all began.
Birds came flying from the underground. If you could see it then you'd understand.

Ideas that you'll never find, all the inventors could never design,
The buildings that you put up, or Japan and China all lit up,
The sign that I couldn't read, or a light that I couldn't see,
Some things you have to believe, but others are puzzles, puzzling me.

All those signs, I knew what they meant. Some things you can invent.
Some get made, and some get sent. Oo-oo!
And birds go flying at the speed of sound, to show you how it all began.
Birds came flying from the underground. If you could see it then you'd understand.
Ah, when you see it then you'll understand!
Misha: Happy Phantom – Tori Amos (skip to 3:04)

I can’t think of anything for Shizune, so here’s a theme song for all 'typical' eroge heroines instead:
Barbie Girl – Aqua,
Or Cartoon Heroes - Aqua, the following verses.
We are what we're supposed to be, illusions of your fantasy,
All dots and lines that speak and say, "What we do is what you wish to do."

We are the color symphony. We do the things you wanna see,
Frame by frame, to the extreme.

Our friends are so unreasonable. They do the unpredictable.
All dots lines that speak and say, "What we do is what you wish to do."

It's all an orchestra of strings doin' unbelievable things,
Frame by frame, to the extreme.
One by one, we're makin' it fun.
Kenji: Níl Sé'n Lá – Clannad The chorus roughly translates as “Do not stop drinking yet, the sun hasn’t risen.”

I did not say otherwise (rather, I should know, being half-Finnish myself (other half is Norwegian)), but the fact of the matter is that Scandinavia is composed of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Is just wanted to clear that up.

Neither of those are Shoegaze bands, but it does seem to work.
