Zzzzz.... Huh?! What?
I'm sure there are still a few people fast on my heels and ready to pass me by. I haven't lead in ppd for over a year now I think.

Yes, but it's always different ones ;-)
According to the statistics "fast on your heels" amounts to about 1.5 years...

Well, since I like the whole idea of folding proteins I figure the odds are good I'll still be folding for the KS Folding@Home team 1.5 years from now.

And chances are, your "pursuers" won't be.
Too bad really. We've been losing members recently.
Hope this changes after the release....

Dead motherboard is dead...replacement on the way. Might get back to folding when it's fixed...maybe not because I'm now broke and electricity is not exactly cheap (curse this piddling grad student salary). Maybe somebody has figured out how to get tax credit or something for donated electricity by now ^^;;

Don't worry too much about losing members as I've left the 4chan team and joined katawa's hoping to put my 2600k and gtx570 to good use so I'm sure new members will trickle in slowly. Also, I've been looking for a download link for the ps3 version, but did they disable it with the recent hacking of the sony servers?

I'm not even sure you need to download that...
It should be in the PS3's main menu under "network".
"Life with Playstation"
And I don't think it was affected by the server outage.

You need to download it, but it wasn't affected.

You need to download it, but it wasn't affected.
Edit: That is, you select the menu option, which starts the download

Just started in on this with the same computer. Finished my first unit yesterday and I'm halfway through my second. Not going fast, but I'm going.

Yeah, F@H seems to optimize PC and PS3 code more, as they make up the bulk of folding computers. Hopefully our drivers will get better over time...

It's possible I'll get a PS3. Less to play games than to be able to play blue-ray, but…

REPORTING FOR DUTY.

Greetings shokuns,
I have a burning passion for VNs and, since I am a biomedical science student, why not give myself something to work on in the next few years as well as saving a few lifes ?
While it may not be the perfect place in the forum for introductions, it is a pleasure to meet you guys and I may as well share some of my feelings on how much I highly esteem what you people are doing right now, whether it be for katawa shoujo's production or folding at home.

Godspeed to you all.

I feel like running F@H in the background while downloading anime and shit for free is somehow karmically balancing in some small way.
