I doubt anyone here is ashamed of their sexuality. Some of us are just more interested in the story aspect, probably because of the sheer quality of the damn thing.

I'll play through with them on, furiously smashing my space bar whenever a scene occurs, feverishly checking behind my back.

Whereas VN's are just the opposite, and nearly always are outright porno, or at most have some attempts at legitimate drama adrift in a sea of mayonnaise-like ejaculate. So KS obviously seems separate from both these sets of conventions, and I do wonder just how much "homage" will be paid, if any, to those of the latter.
Well sure, any analogy breaks down when you point out the details. I could be more specific and define my opinion of a "good" romance novel while citing examples to show why I feel KS is comparable, but it isn't really that important to me and you don't read them, anyway. My intention was to illustrate that I feel arbitrarily removing what could be an important and transformative event for the characters in question if executed properly (in which I expect the writers of KS to succeed) would be demeaning to the work as a whole.

I haven't decided. I'm not going to turn down free pornography, but if shit gets weird (Gime the chocolate Hisao) I might turn it on.

I will leave them on, purely for academic reasons.

But meh...anime H generally doesn't light my fire.

anyone here think that the H might hurt the game? I'm split. Yes I want to see it and if it is in the game i'd want to see it.

but I fear that by making it have adult content might make it off limits to too many people. If anything there should be a H version and a clean version. If your somewhere that has strict rules against this kind of thing (gamefaqs i'm looking at you) I should be able to link the clean version instead of saying "just turn the H off".

Really the point of this game isn't the H scenes. If you get KS for the H your going to be disappointed. So I ask why even bother? Just imply that they sleep together and call it a day.

meh that's my thought

I'm one of the tremendous idiots that considers sex an intimate expression of love. The removal would seem... fake or phony. It just would. Though another version wouldn't hurt, it would take a lot of more time. The devs don't need that. I'm also an impatient person and if the game gets held off because someone out there is scared of naked people I would cry.

I love having a room of my own!

Hasn't it been stated before numerous times that the H-scenes will prove an important part in the development of the characters' relationship? It's not like you are reading KS to "earn the right" to bang a girl, but it's an entertaining way of seeing how the feelings for each other develop. I think that the sexual part is just that, a part of the development that will keep on going forward, not the goal. Skipping it is like skipping part of the process of how they grow as characters. It makes little sense to me to skip those scenes, in this case.

Still, it is good to have the option, not just for the sake of having it but also for those that have an urge for not seeing 2D characters during sexual interaction.

Well, having the the ability to turn off h-scenes means that I might have the opportunity to discuss and recommend it to my rather prudish christian family... whereas otherwise I might stfu if a conversation ever drifted towards some similar topic.

Well, there definitely exists a happy medium. In particular, Sci-Fi author Catherine Asaro writes rock solid (usually action) stories with significant romantic subplots. There's a sex scene in nearly every book, and it's never out of place and they can be really titillating. Ironically, her books published by sci-fi publishing houses (male majority) are far more racy than her books published by romance houses (female majority). Like those books, I plan on enjoying KS to the full extent the authors intend.
