We know. Lily = yuri = slang for lesbian erotica. I just really hate the name "Lily", yet like the name "Lilly".

Yuri is also the first man in space.

When a girl has the name name Lily or Lilly I tend to call her Yuri,and it makes sense if Lilly is half Japanese.

The only problem I ever had with the name Yuri is that it's a guy's name in Russia (as above) and it comes dang close to "urine" I know-I'm just all fucked up.

if you're saying it in a way close to urine, you're technically not pronouncing it correctly. yuri or ゆり or 百合　has a slightly different pronunciation if you use the Japanese syllables. it's close to 'yoo-ri' (yoo like the word 'you' and 'ri' like the first syllable in 'repose') where as urine has a slight 'er' sound after the 'oo'. it's two distinct syllables as opposed to the slightly slurred noise you get in English. I'm not 100% sure, but i don't think there is an equivalent syllable for 'ur' like in urine.

Also, to mean lily, like the flower, there is usually another syllable(s) associated with it. like 小百合 (さゆり、sayuri、which means lily) or 黒百合 (くろゆり、kuroyuri, black lilly). so while saying lily=yuri is true in a strict sense, odds are if you put it into a dictionary you will get lesbian porn before you get the flower. (ie, google 百合 as opposed to 小百合)

I don't think I've ever seen Lilly spelled with three L's before this game, but looking at it now, I think it looks a lot better than with only two L's. More like a name, less like a plant.
