I was on /tg/ and someone posted a link to a quiz to win MW2, and if you followed the link, the OP would get bonus chances.

I found a link the the plain quiz with no other strings or attachments, saged the thread, called OP a fag, posted the link, and hid the thread.

Then this shows up :/

Well, fuck, man. The mods are generally intelligent folks, at least for me. They fixed my problem in due time, so hopefully they'll fix yours.

I think if you appeal it and the situation is as you say then it should be okay. I've also had a ban lifted because of an appeal. The only time my appeal was denied was then the (temporary) ban was completely justified (notworksafe in worksafe board etc) and my appeal was a joke.

I could swear most proxies are automatically blocked, but then again, I know just about dick about computers as it is.

I think all bans with appeals are taken on a case by case basis. So, you shouldn't have anything too much to worry about, since you didn't really do anything wrong. Beyond that, I can't think of anything else.
