I know what you mean, I was kinda like that too X-SAM, but not so bad as you.
I didn't want to look at them, so I just ignored them, don't know why... maybe I thought something like "well, if I pretend I don't see them, then nothing's wrong"...
but what could be wrong? Now I realise the mistake I made.

I really don't know how I stumbled upon this game... I'm into light novels, so maybe that's how it was...
After playing and seeing what it was all about, I didn't know what to think. The game amazed me,
I know it probably wasn't the intention of the developers, to change our view point or whatever... but it really can change lots of people.

I personally liked Lilly a lot.
Coincidentally, I even met a blind girl in real life, and she was really cute. I thought that I was Hisao and she was Lilly,
because at the beggining I really didn't know how to deal with her, and I even started liking her.
Before playing the game, it would never happen. I would try to stay away from her by all means.
"Don't get involved with those people" was probably how I used to think.

Now I just found out that this is a hentai game. I got a bit disappointed, but I'll play it anyway.
I want to go further into the role of Nakai Hisao.
And I hope the girls won't go wild like pornstars...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the full release.
Thank you all working on this game. It really changed my life.
And I hope you keep up the good work.

Well yes, KS will be a hentai game, but like the rest of the game, the devs are trying to do the sex scenes tastefully. I know taste is relative, and not everyone will be satisfied, but I don't expect the game to be like those dime a dozen porn romp VNs that exist solely for the sex. I have faith in the dev team to produce a much better product than that. These are teenagers and it will (probably) be their first times, so I don't think they'll be like porn stars. I think they'll take a more realistic approach.

Except Misha, who acts like a porn star in her H-scenes because she actually is a porn star.

think about it this way, man: there's books with sex scenes in them. that doesn't make them porn. there's movies with sex scenes in them. that doesn't make them porn. there's tv shows with sex scenes in them. that doesn't make them porn. h-games? those are porn, 'cause the entire plot is about fucking people. far as I can tell from what the devs said, KS is going to be more like a book or movie or tv show with sex scenes in it, not like porn where sex is the entire point. and from what we've seen of the girls so far, I really don't think it'll suddenly turn into "Your Girlfriend Does Yamaku."

I do not normaly read demos of VN's and just wait till there released so if i get hooked i can read them to death.
I messed up with Katawa Shoujo when i saw it on VNDB and was totaly sold on its description and art and the bigger shock that its free so i had to check out ACT 1 to see if it held up to the retail VN's.
This was back in nov 2010 and i have been checking the blog like a nutter since for the relase date it has become daily for me since around march i feel like a crack addict and i have no one else to blame but myself lol.

I am just glad i have not waited as long as you poor buggers lol.
But with the saying its done when its done i can respect that as i know it will be worth every second for a top quality VN that i belave will be allways on somones fave or top 5 list.

Since I'm already here, something I noticed already in v4, I think. What happened to the nice cursor the earlier versions had?

Here are some misuses of semicolons I found near the start of the game. (Bundle of Hisao)

Code: Select all

I guess it was supposed to make me feel better; more appreciative of my life.

Code: Select all

I could easily yell out something now; something about how I can go back to school anyway.
Since the second phrase in both examples are not independent clauses, a comma should be used instead.

This is a sentence I thought more about: (Out Cold)

Code: Select all

The world around me; the canopy of bare branches, the dull winter sky, Iwanako running towards me; all these fade to black.
"all these fade to black" is an independent clause, but everything else before is not. The first semicolon indicates that "all these" does not refer to a list of four things before it, but rather a list of three things, that describe "the world around me". Without changing the intended meaning, it would go like this:

Code: Select all

The world around me—the canopy of bare branches, the dull winter sky, Iwanako running towards me—all fade to black.
The dash I'm using is the em dash.

I found a grammatical error

It's in the scene "The Other Green"
Picture:
Image
It should say "beside the wall" to mean "next to the wall."
The phrase "besides the wall" means "other than the wall."

It's just a little thing but it really should be changed so that it makes sense. Also, is this the right place to put something like this?

Another thing, in "Event Horizon":

The phrase is "fight or flight." It doesn't really matter but it's probably better to use the correct phrase.

I've found a few more things, too. Does anybody care?

Originally I had it in the wrong section. Silentcook moved it here.

Here are some more things:
In "Shanghaied":
Image
"in case" should be "unless"

In "Slow Recovery":
Image
The word "to" is missing: "get me to spill the beans"

In "Exercise":
Image
"help you keeping your health" sounds unnatural
After "help you" it shouldn't be a gerund (-ing word); instead it should be an infinitive (e.g. "keep" or "to keep").

I've always thought Misha had some development problems (for example she had trouble with a word) or something like that so those by Misha might not be typos. Just my two pennies on the issue.
