I feel that we may soon fall into the "Rin hole".

I was referring to the emotional/mental stress Rin goes through at her first H-scene, though the said stress could apply throughout her arc.muliebrity wrote:Wait, you don't think anyone else similarly limbless would be annoyed at an inability to diddle?Umber wrote:FTFY.muliebrity wrote: Plus, I thought the first scene was really emotive. Can you imagine the frustration of living as a teenager without arms Rin?
Rin walks in on Emi and Hisao having a dry session. Rin smokes cigarettes for an obscure cause that Hisao, for reasons unknown, agrees with.muliebrity wrote:We'll have to agree to disagree. Umber said it best, Rin isn't really the type to think about the distinction between dating and not dating. Given the way that whole scene and the aftermath went, I'm of the opinion that Rin was using Hisao, and knowingly.ArcCain wrote:What you say muliebrity makes sense but I still think it´s not quite right, and would it not be a bit more funny/intimate if we where dating Rin or something similar and she asked us to "help her" whit it? It would have shown the level of trust Rin had in Hisao.
No, Hisao fell into the Feel´s Hole filled with love and cupcakes! :3Jobriq wrote:Is that the hole Hisao fell into?ArcCain wrote:Edit: A way that makes it clear they are together then.

But then she is like Shizune and dose not change over the arc of her story?Umber wrote:Rin walks in on Emi and Hisao having a dry session. Rin smokes cigarettes for an obscure cause that Hisao, for reasons unknown, agrees with.
Again, "Trust" is like "Dating," as both are absent from Rin's dictionary. She, for lack of a better, non-cliched term, goes with the flow for a majority of the game, though she does swing her oar around every now and then. The few times she allows people to get a glimpse of her mind, her thought process, it's not so much out of trust, but rather, in reluctance or out of her saying something for the sake of saying something, because it happened to cross her mind.
The Art Club decision point and the walk in the park scene are prime examples, respectively. And in the cases related to the latter, it's often just implications and assumptions, since Rin rarely says what she means directly, if she means anything at all. That, and Hisao has the idiot ball.
Sometimes, I feel that understanding Rin is a lot simpler if you just stop trying to.
...Why? She didn't need or want hugs and a nap.ArcCain wrote:the second Hisao finds Rin in that situation he should have given her a hug, comforted, made sure she had a shower, (if possible), then put her to bed as she was physically and mentally exhausted
Not sure where that came from.ArcCain wrote:

I did not mean to sound angry, I like Rin. It´s just hate her third act. And after listening to some interviews it would seem that some writers got frustrated at their characters, why write a character that is so hard to understand? I mean she just goes trough life and takes the day as it comes. Carpe Diem and all that stuff, but she is really a grey line when it comes to other people.Umber wrote:Not sure where that came from.
Rin does change in her story, if you think about her internal struggles, the emotional, mental hardships she'd faced throughout her arc. Though, to be fair, it's hard for most to discern the meaning behind Rin's story/meaning, as well as her "Can you seize the day?" question, since they can be interpreted in many different ways when placed into the context of her arc/character...I include myself in that group.
But multiple perspectives always helps.
Rin sure changed, all right...out of her rain-drenched clothes! YEAAA--
How is that not a change? She realizes her faults and resolves to fix them. That's a change as much as Hanako learning that not everyone sucks.ArcCain wrote:Shizune dose not really change, she opens up to us at the end but that´s about it.
She does. It's in Kenji's box.StudyOfWumbology wrote:On topic~ I really wish Misha's H-Scene wasn't as forceful. Wish granted. She had her own route. Had.StudyOfWumbology wrote:On topic~ I really wish Misha's H-Scene wasn't as forceful. That makes me sad that they never put in the route for Misha. I can see why they didn't though, Shizune's route would have been kinda dry without it to be honest.Umber wrote:Wish granted. You should be wishing for 4LS to release Katawa Shoujo DLC: The Pseudo Pack That Never Was But Is Now.
Yea that is true. But then again if that was the case I assume that her route would have been significantly different than the one we have now. I'm sure they could have worked something out to include Jigoro as the source of a lot of conflict for the arc. Given his personality that isn't too big of a stretch to imagine. I'd love a Misha arc too, but the fact that there isn't one doesn't really take anything away from KS for me. After all, there's always fics for that anyways.StudyOfWumbology wrote:That makes me sad that they never put in the route for Misha.
