Since it's been necro'd anyway, I'd like to point out that nude sprites are possibly not censored because they're not adult content. It's not fucking, just nudity. You're BORN nude. As a BABY, not an adult. People REALLY need to quit being such shame-filled prudes about this stuff. God damn, humanity, get your shit together.

So what? Just because nature decided you come into the world in such a rudimentary manner, we should think it's okay to stay this way? That is not how progress works. It's out of respect for yourself and others. We are clothed partly for warmth and partly to shield ourselves and others from our hedonistic tendencies to satisfy our animalistic desires.
In other words, protection from surprise butt sex.

"Progress" in this sense can be multiple things. Is it "progress" to continue acting like the sight of nude breasts is instantly and unconditionally obscene and vile, or is it "progress" to move past that and realize that it doesn't have to be seen that way? Or is it "progress" to realize that it's all in our heads anyway, so whatever reaction it inspires is entirely the fault of the person viewing?
What exactly is "progress?" Is progress even a one-way street to begin with? If not, which direction is the better one? Is there even a "better" direction to start with?
Personally, I think people need to get over that basic urge to associate sex with "forbidden," "sinful," "dirty," etc etc. If we're not actually thinking of it as wrong, we're reveling the fact that everyone else on the planet seems to think it is. It ticks me off. Can't it just be a beautiful and natural part of being alive?
Probably not in my lifetime. People are so bloody stuck in their ways and all the people who aren't stuck in their ways have had their views so tainted by the ones that are that they're fixated on going through the "lolololol this is so dirty but no one can stop me" rebellious phase instead of trying to get to a point where it's not "rebellious" in the first place. And constantly forgetting to use a condom in the meantime.
In other words, I think mankind is about halfway through puberty at the moment. =/

This is deeply rooted with philosophy and your personal view of how the world works that I would not even begin to define what progress means. It would only serve to breed further confusion and disagreement.
However, I will say this. I think that most people can agree to a certain extent that rape is morally wrong. I think you would also agree that - and this is according to scientific research - the sight of the private parts arouses most humans. This means that seeing boobs for example would accelerate your sexual system and release certain hormones to stimulate reproduction.
Now, I do not think that the view of private parts should be considered normal in that it wouldn't accelerate your sexual system anymore. In other words, looking at boobs would be as normal as looking at an arm. I understand that you would like the world to think that sex is natural and beautiful. And it is, most people actually do think this. But only in their heads and in their bedrooms. But portraying sexual content as something ordinary as any everyday thing is hurtful in the long term for society. To take an extreme example: this is why porn addicts have severe problems enjoying actual sex. It is not special anymore.

Failing to see any relevance to the subject of rape. Clearly, the presence of clothing hasn't done a single fucking thing to mitigate that particular issue.

You're not quite understanding me--more specifically you're taking my view on it and stretching it to an unneeded extreme. I'm not saying we should all walk around with our junk hanging out; I'm saying we should at least get to a point where we don't either shy away on reflex or giggle like hyperactive schoolgirls when stuff like this comes up. Metaphorically speaking.
I don't think that's a whole lot to ask.

Yeah, is that what I said? No it isn't. The OP was complaining that mere nudity "really is adult content" and that the disable option should skip ALL adult content. I simply corrected him by informing him that it
isn't adult content and offered my opinion that people need to get over this idiotic shame and stigma. Absolutely nowhere did I say anything about "we should all stay naked".
I can turn on my TV right now and grab Hostel or Texas Chainsaw Massacre uncensored off the on-demand menu. Blood and gore everywhere, really sick and violent shit, torture and everything. And people seem to have no problem with that. Hell, I can even buy potentially-deadly drugs legal from a store. Again, not a problem to people. Yet when anyone catches so much as a glimpse of
basic human anatomy, they start raving about how it needs to be censored and removed. "Waaa, there's a naked person! I should complain and demand censorship because I'm apparently deathly afraid of the human body!"
Torture and gore? People don't care.
Legalized deadly substances that can and do cause fatal accidents and cancer? No big deal!
A nipple? Kids everywhere are in danger and the world might just be ending.
The OP mentions they were both old enough to talk about and read these things yet the INSTANT they SEE anything (not a sex scene, mind you - just plain old regular nudity),
he regressed into some sort of sheltered nun, shut the game down, complained about the devs' alleged censorship failure, and decided he could never play it again for fear of having to acknowledge that humans have breasts.
Honestly, I'm surprised these sort of people even manage to bathe without having a panic attack.
Clothes are great. Modesty has its place. But when you go beyond modesty to this level of just sheer batshit-retarded shame like the OP seems to have done, maybe people should re-evaluate why they're so bloody terrified of the human form.
To sum it up: "Human sexuality exists. Get over it."

Games where you can kill and torture thousands of innocent civilians... Accepted.
Games where you rape an 11 year old girl... Not accepted. (Except in Japan)

Getting into weirder territory there...
Though I'm pretty firmly in the "it's all fake anyway, so quit whining." camp. And I played that game once.

I'm pretty much with Xanatos on this issue. I've always been mind-boggled by this, really. When I was eight my dad had no problem having us all get together and watch The Terminator as a family, but for some reason he saw fit to fast-forward past the sex scene because... um... I don't know, maybe the sight of two people spooning or the sight of bare breasts is more detrimental to an eight-year-old's mind than blood, violence, and did that guy just rip his own eyeball out? Good God, that's disgusting.
It makes no sense whatsoever, especially considering the fact that sex is something we're pretty much all bound to have some level of experience with at some point in our lives, whereas if we're lucky we'll never see a real-life case of mild gore even once.
