Hee-deh-ah-kee would be a close fit. The 'ee' sounds drag on longer in English than in Japanese, so imagine it as a shortened sound. Hi-de-a-ki would work if not for the ambiguities on how the vowels sound. Also, remember how the syllables work. They don't normally end in consonants, so 'ack' wouldn't work.

I've only just 100%ted Katawa Shoujo (Still haven't unlocked that final image! :/ ) and one thing kept coming back to me.
I've never really known how to pronounce the main characters name!
Hi-sao, His-ao, H-is-ao ?

I always pronounched it like its written, but then in Dutch, im pretty sure its completely wrong but im used to say every asian word wrong

Why don't you just use IPA for pronounciation instead of the very ambiguous "english" syllables?

It's easier to pronounce them assuming people know how to read Hiragana and Katakana--then convert those names into such.
Pretty much that's how I pronounce them
