Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
I played again... short so far. I discovered the new "Student Council" theme. Ah, well.. It's different... yes, that's the word.
Also, I noticed (a long LONG time ago actually, but I kept forgetting to mention) that the last song in the Juke Box (the one played in the main menu as well) is called "Wiosna". In my native, polish language it means "Spring". Is this inspired by something? Or is a person naming the songs polish and managed to smuggle in a little word? Or does this have another, special meaning?
(It's too trivial to make a thread of this so I decided to stick it here.)

If my memory serves the name comes from Frederic Chopin's song-poem of the same name.

Ah, possible. Thanks. He's polish. SO if anyone wandered about that foreign word- it means "Spring"

OK, now why did Lilly name her dog the Japanese word for "rainbow"?
Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
Ok better stop right there. This is not a questions and answers thread and even though it's the only thread I really want to be as clean as possible it's been shat over multiple times for no reason I can see. I just replied because I had the answer straight off the top of my head.

Funny how I didn't notice that although I'm also Polish. I'm pretty sure I saw the name before in the jukebox, I just didn't pay attention to it.Smoku wrote:

Hey, were the volume settings changed with V3? I remember playing V1 or 2 and not being able to completely mute the music.
Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
This begs the question of whether or not you actually muted the fantastic music!kosherbacon wrote:Hey, were the volume settings changed with V3? I remember playing V1 or 2 and not being able to completely mute the music.
You didn't, did you?

Only if I was on a scene for a loooooooong amount of time or if I left KS running while my computer was playing music while being otherwise idle, like if I had gotten up to read or something.
Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
Funny, I seemed to remember KS being pretty good about shutting up when focus was removed from it (or maybe when it was minimized?). Need to retest with latest versions.

Yeah, I remember it muting (usually) if I opened up a file in winamp or something, but not being able to consistently mute the music.

Something I had never noticed before but suddenly started to disturb me in v4. May I suggest switching the colors for Emi and Rin? They really would make much more sense the other way around.

I assume you're talking about the color for their names in the dialogue boxes.luinthoron wrote:Something I had never noticed before but suddenly started to disturb me in v4. May I suggest switching the colors for Emi and Rin? They really would make much more sense the other way around.
I present exhibit A. I suppose it makes sense to switch them around. There appears to be a trend in the path girls (and Misha) that their font colors be related to their hair colors.
It's a good thing Shizune is deaf, she is the only one who can stand (not) hearing "Wahaha~!" over and over.
