Unrelated but I downloaded Muv-Luv. :3
Double post much?

But someone catches you in a porn scene...

Look them in the eyes and FINISH.

Twilight. That is all.
I mean in reference to VNs, and VNDB in particular. I'm fairly certain that there's no need to point out how incorrect that statement generally is.

For most people it'd be awkward as hell, but props to you if can ignore that :D

Wow, I just finished Narcissu about an hour and a half after actually starting it, and it was amazing. Short and to the point, in that little bit of time it got me to empathize with the characters, show development of both the characters and their relationship and deliver a bittersweet ending. I should probably get some sleep now...

I hope you wouldn't do that with Alternative. One of the H scenes in that is incredibly awkward

Also make sure you do ML in the order of Exta > Unlimited > Alternative. Obvious I know, but many people want to skip straight to Alternative since that is the part where it gets great.

Actually, Twilight seems like the kind of thing that would work better than the original if it was a VN. Well, if they took out the sparkly vampires.

Maybe, but it's doubtful. Meyer's writing is so unapologetically trashy that it's way beyond salvaging into a VN. The only redeemable quality of the series is that the film adaptations are ceaselessly hysterical campfests.

Meyer's writing encourages young girls to commit suicide to make their boyfriends come back.

That is the sole reason I hate Twilight. Really, nobody should need a different excuse, it's THAT bad of an idea to go spreading to easily impressionable drag queens.

So I've finished Narcissu side 2, and besides being a nice prequel that explains a lot about Setsumi, it got me thinking that Narcissu is quite a bit like KS, in that while KS is about people having to live their entire lives being restrained by something they can't control, Narcissu is about people who live rather normally, aren't particularly limited, but don't have much of a life left to live.
Next up on my reading list is Planetarian.

I just finished Analogue: A Hate Story.

Get it on steam, it's only like three bucks. Or... five-ish Euros, I think. I can't remember if Euros are more or less.

It really was great, the metacritic score was way too low, look at the user rating, and it's an almost 10 across the board.

It's a really great VN, and quite short, actually, but just reading through journal entries was enough to make me feel like puking at some points, (Some of them are quite graphic in their own way,) and the characters are actually really likable.

It's so cheap on this sale I might trade some TF2 items for it.

It really is.

I'm actually disappointed that I didn't buy it for full price, the woman who made the story deserves all my pennies.

But then again, I can't say a bad thing about any character or VN I get attached to.

Has anyone else here played it?

Just finished Planetarian(I seem to be on a streak of VNs with no actual choices ) and, well, I can't say I expected anything less from Key. But boy, was it a downer. Clannad, Kanon and LB ended on a positive note, but nope, not Planetarian. Not much I can really say, except that I strongly recommend it.
Up next on my list is Yume Miru Kusuri.

Will do! Do the routes make more sense that way?

Actually I'd say YMK is one of the very few VNs I've played where the route orders don't actually make any difference. Well aside from route guilt, which thankfully I didn't get. Play it however you want.
