If I were to be in charge of making a KS anime, the first episode would start with some upbeat poppy cheerful tune designed to make you think it was going to be some wacky comedy. I wouldn't even have the main girls in the opening. I'd have Hisao and his friends from his previous school. I wouldn't even have the confession scene until the end of the second episode or so.

Then again, I like messing with people.

Unless you really just want to fuck with people, it'd better be the end of first episode. Just to show everyone what Hisao actually lost, and to increase emotional attachment to him a bit. You don't need an opening at all. Just an ending, which better look like KS opening movie, with hospital clock, syringes, enemas and stuff, and goes on for a couple of series (until the approximate end of first act).

And I'd structurize routes like Higurashi arcs - they go in order, one after another, and they show different versions of happenings.

I'd probably go the same route just to mess with viewers. And for Rin's arc, I'd go out of my way to mindfuck everyone, splicing in random quick clips of The Wall or slasher film footage or something. Alter the colors a bit each frame. Tilting the angle a bit each frame, drawing each frame increasingly off-model. Maybe make it cut to clay stop-motion animation for a minute in the middle of the episode then when it turns back, everyone is green and the sky is orange, everyone's drawn like Adventure Time.

Stop giving LSD to Hisao. Or separate poor asshole from the storyteller. And, putting clips idea aside, it can be nice view from Rin's perspective. I'd make them 10-12 second clips, and show them twice in every episode - before commercial break and after.

Another good mindfuck: Random rotoscoping. And after commercial breaks, we get a 20-second first-person-perspective of Rin cloudgazing.

All of my yes. And then, she closes her eyes and says some random stuff. And some of her random painting slowly appears at the background.

KS art film. Kickstart it.

The VN medium allowed more depth to the reader. I like it much more this way.
I sincerely doubt i would get the same level of attraction if i actualy saw someone talking to the girls.
And knowing anime these days... Forget story and character development. Hello cleavage and fanservice... no ty... Don't ruin my KS experience!
You really have been watching some of those anime huh?
Don't want to get in a discussion on this. But i don't want people to get the wrong idea of me either. I've never even heard of this anime called School Days, let alone seen it.
Bit personal but these are all the anime i've seen so far:
- The Gundam franchise (Wing, Seed, 00, Stargazer 8th MS, Turn-A. Still want to watch some of the older ones)
- Rurouni Kenshin
- And just a few weeks agao i finished Code Geass r1 and r2, which to my amasement i realy liked

Code Geass has nothing to do with girls in particular, but the amount of ass i got presented there was enough to get a crazed hormone-bursting teen satiated for a year.
Now i'm thinking of an Anime about dating crippled girls with the former still fresh on my mind. I don't like where this is going to
I just don't see a proper nice visualisation of this happening. This anime would be directed at a male audience, after all. And i guess the currend trend is fanservice.
Maybe there are some other out there, and i hope those directors would get this script/story/watherver...

Spoken like someone who deliberately ignores a large amount of anime to hatewatch only the stuff he doesn't like... :P
Lol, you're spouting contradictions now xan? And since when do you think you know me? You seem to fail to grasp what this thread is about. A KS anime, that will/should try to rival or surpass that what the VN is. The scentence you quoted illustrates quite well how i fear that would turn out. Nothing more. How you even got the idea that you wrote is beyond me. Then again, it's like you to write such things.

Do you call throwing insults like that around "mature"?
I second that.

Sorry for double posting btw

Not a contradiction, merely an observation. You implied "anime these days" is all about cleavage and fanservice with no development otherwise. Using that information, which you yourself supplied, I'm inferring that you don't actually watch much anime beyond the stuff you criticize. Kinda like how people who say cinema is shit today only watch parody films or Roland Emmerich, people who say literature is bad only read the likes of Twilight, and people who claim music these days all sucks only listen to radio drivel.

KS as a property is entirely the possession of 4LS. Presumably they'd have a heavy hand in any adaptation...So why would they skip out on the characters and story?

I voted "yes" because who wouldn't want to see it?
I also voted "no" because of the very slim possibility that M. Night Shamalamadingdong would make an absolutely terrible movie adaptation.

The twist ending? Not only is it all a dream, but Kenji is actually a patient for the mental ward, talking to hisao as he seeps to warn him that Iwanako is a feminist who staged his heart attack to get him out of the way.

I'd love to see an anime based on KS just to see how it would translate from VN to anime. However, it sucks to know there's more of a chance of a humanized MLP film being produced than a KS anime.

P.S. Literally just saw this on TV. Search up Equestria Girls... sigh
