This thought crossed my mind too. However, the devs have so far shown excellent judgement as far as the story goes. Frankly, I never thought I'd be using the words "intelligent" and "tasteful" about any dating sim, let alone a dating sim about disabled people that began with a 4ch thread. So while I do share your fear to some degree, I'm reasonably confident that we'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm also wondering if this game will surpass usual H-game standards in terms of portraying, well, realistic sex. Hisao is heavily implied to be a virgin; it's likely that some or most of the girls are too. Most H-games would have them shagging like pornstars despite this, but I'm hopeful this game will be a tad more grounded in reality. One of the devs has already mentioned that truly Olympian carnal endeavours might be beyond Hisao's grasp in his current condition, so that gives me hope too. So come on, devs. Let's see some charmingly inept first-time sex :P

Also, why didn't Rin ever get prosthetic arms?

I've seen and heard from various sources that prosthetic arms are a waste of bloody time. The fine control required for hands is extremely difficult to deliver with current prostheses, plus they hurt like hell to use for any length of time. I wonder if Rin did have prosthetic arms at one point, and they ended up in the bin...

As long as they don't do the "it hurts and bleeds" the first time through (or at least don't play it up too much), then I'm happy. I'm getting tired of the perception that it has to hurt and you have to rip the hymen the first time. Frankly, it's not realistic at all. Minor discomfort? Fine. "Tearing, piercing and sundering?" Less so. Besides, Hisao's supposed to be gentle, right?

For some girls it actually does hurt like a bitch the first time, but you're right in that for most it isn't really the horrid blood and agony-filled expanse depicted in H-games. I'd say somewhere a little more than minor discomfort, but less than "ouch, ouch, ouch".

I'm not sure if this is a actually a dumb question or not, but I've noticed Hisao really seems to like drinking coffee. Well, to each his own, but wouldn't that be a potential health risk for his heart condition? I have a friend who tends to go into Arrythmia-type symptoms when she consumes caffeinated products, and she can't drink coffee or pop at all. So, wouldn't drinking coffee be a health risk for him too, considering how it's stimulant properties affect the heart? Or was he written so that he wouldn't have that sort of condition?
