I just realized an error from earlier acts, reading through this.
It's Ford Prefect, not Ford Perfect. (Which Douglas Adams even noted as being a problem with the joke with us Americans, as the Ford Prefect was almost unheard of. The joke would've worked far better here if the French and Greek edition change had been made, renaming the character to Ford Escort.)
Excellent addition, by the way. There's an interesting dynamic between the two. And I suspect Hisao's insecurities in the bedroom could be a problem, and worse, he's got nobody to talk about it with other than Akira herself, and Kenji (assuming that the picnic included Kenji's reveal of his one time with Yuuko), and he's not exactly a reliable source. His other close friends are Lilly and Hanako, both of which are in no position to talk about that for multiple reasons. (If they need to be spelled out... Hisao now has more experience than either of them (actually, now I forget whether Hanako was explicitly stated to be a virgin before Hisao - I'd be very surprised if she wasn't though), Lilly strikes me as FAR too proper to discuss that with anyone other than a partner (even though she can be quite open about it with a partner), and Hanako... even if her shyness didn't get in the way, I got an impression that she was jealous of Akira. Much like the "if it's Hisao, I don't mind" line from Lilly's route.)
Or, if the H-scene was this early in the act... I wonder if it's his insecurities that'll be the problem, or rather him being premature.

I couldn't agree more. I quietly sit and rage in silence when I read lines like that. Eventually I burst out scream "IT'S HYPOTHERMIA!!"

Please remember that Yuuko being Kenji's ex is
not canon. It is probably my least favorite bit of
fanon.

OK, OK, his one time with his mystery partner who may or may not be Yuuko.

To be fair, being in the cold (especially when wet) does correlate with catching a cold.

Since when? Last I checked, people stay inside to get away from the cold, and thus are exposed to each other (and the germs they carry), resulting in the spread of disease.

I just did some research. Turns out I'm an idiot, but also kind of right. Being cold, I imagine, correlates with winter, and, according to Wikipedia (which is never wrong),
Some of the viruses that cause the common colds are seasonal, occurring more frequently during cold or wet weather.[24] The reason for the seasonality has not been conclusively determined.[25] This may occur due to cold induced changes in the respiratory system,[26] decreased immune response,[27] and low humidity increasing viral transmission rates, perhaps due to dry air allowing small viral droplets to disperse farther and stay in the air longer.[28] It may be due to social factors, such as people spending more time indoors, near an infected person,[26] and specifically children at school.[21][25] There is some controversy over the role of body cooling as a risk factor for the common cold; the majority of the evidence suggests that it may result in greater susceptibility to infection.[27]
Thus, being cold probably does correlate with catching a cold, using the strict definition of "correlate." As for "especially when wet," being wet does lower body temperature (the reason for sweating), and "the majority of the evidence suggests that [body cooling] may result in greater susceptibility to infection."
On topic, great update!

I know I'm kind of late to the party, but boy did I enjoy the heck out of this. I guess as a recent college grad I'd be much more interested in an adventurous mid-20's businesswoman than I would any sort of high schooler (not that I don't love all the canon routes). That being said, somehow reading this made me feel like a super-emotional high schooler again. Once I read through and got caught up I went and moped/played drums to some Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday (
makedamnsure in particular stood out as having surprisingly relevant lyrics) like a good lil emo kid.
Anyway back to the discussion at hand. I hadn't really thought about it till you mentioned it but Hisao definitely has limited options when it comes to discussing his bedroom troubles. Regardless of who it was with, Kenji's thoughts on his experience consisted of complaining about feeling strangely tired afterwards (if I'm remembering correctly) so I doubt he'd have much to offer. Probably the best option would be for him to talk to Akira herself, especially since she wasn't nearly as bothered as Hisao himself was.

There's always the Nurse. Heck, since he's not with a student, he might be able to do it without getting poisoned.

I wasn't too sure how it worked in Japan so I just applied the western equivalent. How would it work, by the way? Does the hospital supply his medication? Or maybe you can get it through the mail there?

I-I thought it was just a general Japan-ism, like how standing out in the rain for a few moments or sleeping without a blanket are equally likely to result in a cold.

Oh god I never even noticed that. I only ever got the chance to read partway into Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and I always read it as perfect. I'll go back and fix that if I can remember what chapter it appears in. 3-4, right?

Much like the "if it's Hisao, I don't mind" line from Lilly's route.)
The bedroom situation is something that I'm going to play around with throughout the rest of the act. As for Hanako and Lilly, I don't think Hisao in any of the different routes would confide in one of the other characters about a sex situation. His relationship with Akira, however, would naturally come up in terms of interactions with Lilly and Hanako, and maybe even with Shizune or Misha. I'll just keep working around and see what all I can fit in, right now the center event is Mr. Satou, and I plan to make a lot of use of that.
Thank you everyone for the commentary and the compliments and sorry that it took so long to respond. I kinda felt my heart drop when I was in class this morning and realized that I hadn't responded to any of the comments from the chapter, so I made sure to do that as soon as I got back.

I always figured that Yamaku might have its own pharmacy in the nurses' building. With all the different conditions there, it might be a bit much to rely on whatever pharmacy the nearby town has.
