You're welcome. I always liked that story, and I think it's very much worth including.BlackWaltzTheThird wrote:Oh my, you've included Greater than the Sum in here. I'm flattered.
Comrade and I discussed whether to include the "Begins" information at all. The main reason why we decided to include it was to give the reader an idea where the story set in, i.e. which route it would be good to have read already to avoid spoilers. I don't think the information whether the events of the story span a day, a week or a month will be very relevant when deciding whether or not to read a story. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps the "begins" parameter would be best be renamed "timeframe"? Then you're not limited to listing an arbitrary date at which the fic starts, and you have the ability to cover the range of the story from beginning to end, as well as being able to do so in more abstract terms, if necessary.
That's why the whole first page was reserved. Also, the first postful of fics looks rather long. I'm not saying to chop it up just yet, but just be mindful of post length moving forward.

Does this rule not apply?Mirage_GSM wrote:That's why the whole first page was reserved.BlackWaltzTheThird wrote: Also, the first postful of fics looks rather long. I'm not saying to chop it up just yet, but just be mindful of post length moving forward.
Looking at it now, I don't think we would have needed so much space. I think the entries so far will comfortably fit in one post. We will split them when neccessary.

Update, 12/03/2013:
Experimentation by other users has found 150 lines per post to be an acceptable compromise that doesn't usually cause problems. Please notice that embedded images do count against post size.
Edit, 07/06/2013:
I thought this was obvious, but just to be on the safe side: the maximum number of posts to a forum page is fixed at 15. If there are already several short posts in a page, you can get away with adding a fairly long one. If you already have several long posts, it can be better to wait for the next page.
Perhaps I should have chosen a different word. I meant not the duration of the story, but the time period. In fact, "time period" would have been a better choice of phrase. Anyway, I changed my mind and think that's a silly idea. Like you said with the "Route" keyword denoting a lengthy duration, "Epilogue" and "Prequel" denote the time period. It's kind of redundant.Mirage_GSM wrote:I don't think the information whether the events of the story span a day, a week or a month will be very relevant when deciding whether or not to read a story.
