Thinking about the meaning of the disabilities in KS:
I think paradoxically the function of the disabilities in the story is to show how strong, capable, and able the women are. None of them need to be coddled or protected; they have all overcome tremendous challenges.
Pretty uniformly in most of the paths a quick way to lose is dehumanize the women by overprotecting them.

I don't know, just the way he said make me not agree. All the people we meet in KS can function perfectly fine and can handle themselves. That doesn't sound handicapped to me.My point is made when he later said.
"They're just less physically able"

The overalls were pretty casual. I could see Rin sporting that attire regularly.
