Welcome to 2011 everyone, Let me tell you how my day has been.
rolled out of bed late afternoon, spent most of the day in the kitchen, Played a bit of WoW with a friend, read some fanfics and then finally at 4 in the morning, came to check KS.
And whaddya know? new blog... and a progress update!!
now, I will say this... wow, just wow. After silence for so long on how the game is progressing from the Devs, this just came out of no-where.
then I noticed one little line
And within months from today, after four years in development, Katawa Shoujo will be released.

WOW, just WOW. this is some brilliant progress. Now, I'm just a simple Average Joe, but I had to take a moment and consider just how much work has to go into every little detail along the way. Firstly, Writing. In my mind the most difficult part, I cannot imagine just how hard it must be to write out a single act, let alone 5 (or 6 if there is a separate Kenji path) and lets not mention the research and thought that had to go into everything, especially when you consider the disabilities and mental process of the character. Art, now I can draw (badly) and I can imagine how hard it is to bring a written story to life (lets not forget that infamous Chessboard Incident). And then these paths have to weave together (at least for Act 1)
The enormity of this is staggering.
So, to everyone out there, lets give the Devs the appreciation and support they deserve.
I think I speak for all of us when I say we are eagerly looking forward to Katawa Shoujo finally becoming a reality.
Well Done Guys and Gals, Well Done.
*edit* thanks for moving this here
