Immediatly went back to the rooftop with Emi, spilling it all out, saying i'll be there for her... Song's both sad and yet a little bit uplifting to me at the same time, can't realy put my finger on it. Loved it the moment i heard it

Anything off of Starship Amazing's album 'Yall Stop Bloggin'. Sounds like it would fit well within any visual novel, really.
I never knew Meiko had a daughter called Stacy.
You learn something new everyday.
Huh.
God damn it, only Xanatos is allowed to do that >.<

An oldie, but a goodie. Knew of it before, but then it came up recently in a fairly well-known episode of Genndy Tartakovsky called Lessons in Love. The episode was fairly well-known due to the absolutely disgusting scene of...a high schooler shaking her ass to some music. Rather than being known for just how beautifully and maturely the episode provided context and a resolution for it by the end of the episode. Can't help but be reminded by this song of KS because of that exact same thing: when you deal with a moreso delicate topic in such a way that only the ignorant can call you nothing more than a pervert for tackling it.
In the context of said episode I suppose it'd fit Hisao's and Emi's good ending most. Anyway...here it is:
Stone Temple Pilots's recent self-titled album (especially "Cinnamon", "First Kiss On Mars", and "Maver") come to mind now - not because it's their best album or anything, but it's incredibly poppy and SCREAMS The Beatles and David Bowie.
"I Appear Missing" - Queens Of The Stone Age is almost creepy in how well it can relate to Hisao and Katawa Shoujo in general, although it's obviously about Josh Homme's botched leg surgery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCy8pjhl97A
