Refresh the page a bunch of times, I got it to work maybe at least 3 times.
Hope it comes back up, it's been like this for 2 days now.

According to the 'status page' it has somthing to do with DDoS attack, so till its taken care of 4chan will be down.

Say, i'm a little new with the incident, but what's "DDoS?" I heard it's a massive large spam caused by a person or something, am i correct?

Distributed Denial of Service Attack. You make a ton of requests to a server, with multiple computers (one is just a DoS - Denial of Service - attack), and overload it with requests so that it refuses access to it.

It's a script that activates on computers that downloaded a certain file off of 4chan, it basically tells the computer to send a ridiculous amount of requests to the server, a few hundred computers doing this could cause some serious damage.

They let up in /tg/. I don't know about the other boards.

Yeah, I've been playing videogames to take up my available evenings for now. I need to get that list of unfinished games down.

I do wonder when moot is gonna be able to fix 4chan, usually /a/ and KS go hand in hand when I browse the internet, and having only one just doesn't quite do it, if you know what I mean. So I downloaded Rozen Maiden: AliBAT, and have been trying to get the online play function to work. It did give me an opportunity to clean my computer (read: re-install), and objectdock sure does help fight all those messy icons.

until this mess gets sorted out i'm going to go through the fanfic section here to try and compensate for the lak of Storyteller

i miss /toy/. every other board I visit has their own sub-chan or somewhere else i can go to discuss. there's no substitute for /toy/f

I'm starting to wonder if this DDoS might be related to the ones coming from North Korea right now against some US Government websites and a few other sites as well.
