Was gonna make a 'joke' about Lilly being a trap, but then I realised it'd look a bit of a penis. It didn't sound all that Lilly-ish to me before the piano, but it was pretty chilled throughout which was good.

Well, if it's underwhelming, that's just a product of me trying to musicify her. It's not like Lilly has any characteristics of a regular trap drop, as evidenced here:

And, since I happened to run into this song with the mindset "I'm gonna make a new Lilly song.", I didn't really pay much mind to what genre I used. I just let Lilly take the wheel, which, in retrospect, is usually a bad thing to do, but it turned out alright.

Ah, it's not underwhelming, it's not like I didn't enjoy it or anything I guess Lilly is a tricky one for EDM full stop.

Why yes. Yes they have, because it is glorious.
I would be interested in trying my hand at a song, although I'm not sure how well guitar translates to EDM XD I like the sound of Miki so far, gonna give it a few more listens but it sounds good to me so far!

As to what you said before, most of the character's songs aren't really that in your face (except Shizune), so I think I've lost touch with making "Hard" music now.
I think I'm Liquid now.
By the way, I didn't sample anything, so what you're hearing is basically all my own. Even the break sample I used (I don't count that as sampling, because I changed it up quite a bit, took the kick and snare out, and just fiddled with the hi hat sounds to get a break I liked. Then, the synths. Typical Liquid D'n'B type things.

It's hard because I'm really ignorant as to the inner-workings of music, but melody is the main part, right? I just kind of hear touches of a similar pattern of notes throughout. It's definitely not blatantly obvious, but I thought I heard that patterns somewhere, or at least a similar one. Maybe I was just listening for it too hard and made myself think I heard it.
