If things stay the same though, it sounds like Hanako has given up and decided to be 'taken care of', which sounds pretty miserable for her.
Not quite. They're more equal but it's still mostly just a friend thing. It's worth seeing yourself though. Also tricky to get...I used a flowchart.

No, I wasn't shuddering through the entire route. Just that, of course, we all know the goal for us playing is to get the good ending and have the girl be Hisao's girlfriend. Not reaching that goal obviously means one will want to go back and get the good ending... or at least I do.

I don't have that problem anymore, I 100% completed the game with bonus image. Now I just do Hanako good ending replays cause I'm boss like that.

For me it was Shizune's Bad Ending.

Which was pretty brutal on a feels level since up until the end of Act 3 it was all fairly lighthearted, and not knowing any of the other paths I had 0 clue what to expect. Misha :'(

I have to say, that's pretty bad. Not only did you get a bad ending, but Shizune's bad ending. :|

I had Emi's good. Granted, I spoilt myself on TV Tropes, so I roughly knew what I needed to do, once I got onto her path. Once you choose to race, you're pretty much sticking with her.

Someone was clutching the Idiot Ball it seems XD.
Seriously, Shizune's bad end makes think it (and Emi's) are only in there for having a bad ending. The "Comfort Misha" choice for me immediately Red-Flagged in my mind as "Don't click that you sick bastard"
I chose it only for completion, and I regretted it.

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether or not Hisao's holding the idiot ball, or if he's asking (or not asking...) questions that are necessary for the story.

Comfort Misha seemed like the most obvious road to a bad end. The opposite in Rin's route, so many confusing options in there.

(Shizune route spoiler) You cheated on Shizune and had no idea what to expect?

My first route was Shizune's good end. My first, and only, bad end was Rin's.

Rin's "Proof of Existence" ending (the one that ends in the flower field). I know it sounds unlikely, but I seem to have a knack for finding the 'good' answers. Arguably the Rin endings are debatable in their relative level of good and bad, but the flower field is considered the good ending while the rainy departure is viewed as the neutral end.

I followed that with Hanako's "Adulthood" ending (where she gives Hisao a gift), Shizune's "Infinity" ending (graduation), Emi's "Clean Teeth" ending (sunshine on the morning after), and Lilly's "Forwards with Gusto" ending (epilogue). Getting 100% completion meant going back and intentionally answering everything incorrectly so I could seek out the bad endings.

Oh please don't misunderstand me, I thought "Comfort Misha" meant what it did, but I also figured that there's no way it would actually mean that in Shizune's path. Once I had clicked it, I felt that now it'd be unfair to backpedal out of it.

It also means I'll never be able to look at the word "Comfort" the same way ever again.

"William comforted the children." Oh you sick fuck!

Thankfully my mind isn't susceptible to that kind of corruption.
So I can still read "comfort" and know it doesn't always mean "fuck my brains out Hicchan"
It all depends on the context.

My first was Emi's good ending. I went via talk to her mother route which I think is the better way to get the good ending as opposed to telling Misha how you feel because if you choose that path you get to read the rest of Iwanako's letter.

Then I died twice getting Rin's path (although I kinda expected it the second time when I chose "I stuck with her, I guess")

Also, there should be a secret ending on Emi's arc involving Emi's mom.... Mrs. Ibaraziki is totally hot right?.... lol
