I was actually planning a war story . . .Megumeru wrote:B-movie monsters...Oddball wrote:Okay, back on track.
Weird situations I'd put the girls into? Well, there was one that started with Kenji stealing all their clothes while they were using the boys showers...
I also intended to do a horror story for Halloween, where the world gets over run by B-movie monsters come to life, but I never found the time for it.

...send all the girls to some random planet with other soap opera stars to kill some giant bugs--Lilly gets to fly the starship
And now you know why Rin lost both of her arms and Emi her legs
That's all well and good, but if you wanted to do this realistically you'd probably haveMegumeru wrote: I'll have...

...Shizune as the radio operator
...Rin as the reloader
...Hanako as the commander

And with this, I've signed myself a one-way ticket to hell.
That's all well and good for a modern tank, but OP specifically mentioned a PzKW-IV or Tiger. And while I happen to know there is a lot of footwork involved in manually reloading a 120mm cannon - apparantley if they have the timing down they'll kick away a spent shell as it's discharged - there is no way Rin could sling one of those things in with just her feet.ravenlord wrote:Tank drivers usually drive blind as a matter of course -- they take verbal instructions from the commander or spotter. Many tanks now also have keyboard/monitor for comms, so a deaf person ( or someone whose ears are ringing from a near or glancing hit) can do that as well. And due to the tight spacing, RIn probably could indeed be the main gun loader as long as her back was braced against the interior wall and the shell rack was near the muzzle.
Actually, Lily might do well as the commander, since Shizune can't communicate to the rest without Misha. Replace Lily as commander, and Rin as the radioman. She's probably dexterous enough to work out the controls.FoxtrotZero wrote:That's all well and good, but if you wanted to do this realistically you'd probably haveMegumeru wrote: I'll have...

That is to say, I think these would be the best asignments of duty. I wouldn't trust Rin to command a tank, but I doubt it requires the use of her arms. That's all well and good for a modern tank, but OP specifically mentioned a PzKW-IV or Tiger. In other news, this whole thread has sent me laughing like mad, and I'll have to come back with something clever.
Commander acts as the eyes-and-ears of the tank if we're relegating this to pre-1946 tanks.Shadowyeclipse wrote: Actually, Lily might do well as the commander, since Shizune can't communicate to the rest without Misha. Hanako and Emi would do well as Driver and Gunner respectively, I'd suppose. It makes it better that Lily would be commander also, because Hanako would be happier taking orders from her.
This is awesome that we're contemplating this, though.
This is actually the working solution thoughFoxtrotZero wrote: That's all well and good, but if you wanted to do this realistically you'd probably have

I think the most hilarious for a pre-46 tank would have to be:Megumeru wrote:Commander acts as the eyes-and-ears of the tank if we're relegating this to pre-1946 tanks.Shadowyeclipse wrote: Actually, Lily might do well as the commander, since Shizune can't communicate to the rest without Misha. ...though that actually could cause serious hilarity...
...Lilly as Commander
...Shizune as Driver
...Rin as Reloader
...Hanako as Gunner
...Emi as reloader
Imagine what will happen
Lilly - Driver, go straight
Shizune - ...
Lilly - DRIVER I SAID GO STRAIGHT GODAMNIT!
Shizune - *vehicle remains stationary*
Hanako - t-t-target at our right...
Lilly - where? where?????
meanwhile, the cannon remains unloaded throughout the entire battle

I think the most hilarious for a pre-46 tank would have to be:
...Lilly as the Commander
...Shizune as the Radio Operator
...Hanako as the gunner

It's funny, because Lilly is blind, Shizune is mute and deaf, Rin doesn't have arms, and I honestly think 9/10 times Hanako doesn't have it in her to fire the gun.
Emi is honestly the leftover, because even if she were without her prosthetics, if I remember correctly, pedals aren't that important for driving a tank.
Lilly: "Driver, forward. I think."
Emi: 'Is that this one?"
*tank lurches*
Shizune: "..."
Hanako: "I think that's an enemy tank to the right."
Rin: *stares contemplatively at the ammunition rack*
Lilly: "Where? To the right?"
Emi: "I think I got it!"
*tank bursts through wall*
Lilly: "What was that? Are we hit?"
Rin: "I'm not sure how this is supposed to work."
*tank hit by enemy round, bursts into flame*
Shizune: "...!"
Emi and Shizune have the presence of mind to get out, taking Lilly with them.
If left alone, Hanako would have an emotional breakdown because the tank is on fire, and Rin... well, Rin probably couldn't climb out of the thing unaided.
Anyway, I think the new situation would be as a band. The problem is, a lot of them could work out. But for some hilarity, have Shizune as lead singer and Rin as drummer (though she could probably figure this out, it would still be damned hilarious).
That might be more awkward. Lets start with a realistic approach:Shadowyeclipse wrote:I think the most hilarious for a pre-46 tank would have to be:

Hanako would be the vocals, obviously.
IT would actually be funnier if Rin was the drummer, it might be awkward, but then again, only Rin is able to eat food with her feet. She might be able to drum.FoxtrotZero wrote:That might be more awkward. Lets start with a realistic approach:Shadowyeclipse wrote:I think the most hilarious for a pre-46 tank would have to be:

Hanako would be the vocals, obviously.
...Lilly as piano/keyboard (seems convenient for her, and like something she might know)
...Hanako as guitarist (just kinda threw her in last)
...Shizune as bass guitarist (I find bass is more easily felt than heard, anyway)
...Rin as lead singer (if only because I can think of nothing else not requiring arms)
...Emi as drummer (The girl is literally energy ad nauseum)
