Y'know, I realized that the Luke/Hanako pairing means that this canon actually works with the Shizune'/Lilly yuri fics (that seemed to pair Misha and Hisao, IIRC).

I'd have to dig through your writings again to locate any quotes, and I'm too lazy right now for that, but there were a lot of little things that just tickled the humor centers in my brain (hang on... do those exist? Sometime in the summer, 2008

"I mean, she was pretty cool. Yeah, she's a lesbo, but......yeah, really.......Swear to God.....Yeah, she has a girlfriend....Well she is a couple years younger than-"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

"Oh, hang on man, there's someone at the door."

I took off my headset and sat the controller down. It's not like us to get visitors very often...

I opened the door, but I wasn't expecting for who would be on the other side.

"Nikki!?"

"Heeeey!" She said as she wrapped me in a hug. "Surprise!"

I looked up and saw that her 'roommate' Eri was behind her.

"Hey Eri!" She came forward and gave me a hug as well.

"Hey Luke." She replied.

"So...what the hell are you guys doing here?"

Nikki shrugged.

"We were in the neighborhood and thought we'd pay you a visit."

"In the neighborhood?"

"Long story. Can we come in?"

"Uh, yeah, sure."

I stood out of the way and let the two girls come in. I then walked over to my controller and picked up the headset.

"Sorry Dil, we'll have to play some other time. You know that girl I was just talking to you about? Yeah, she just showed up....Yeah, I'm serious....I'll call you later, ok? Bye."

I reached down and turned off the console.

"Sorry about that, I was playing with my cousin. So...you guys need something? I wouldn't have expected you to come out here just to hang out?"

"Well...we are kinda here just to hang out. I just wanted to see what kinda place ya'll had."

"Woah, you're speaking pretty good English Nikki."

"Thanks. Eri's not quite as good though, so forgive her."

"Hey Luke? Who was that at the door?" I heard my mom call from the other room.

"Ah, I always wanted to meet your parents..."

She walked into the living room, and I had no choice but to follow her.

"Hey Mrs. Fisher!"

"Oh, hello. Uh...and you are?"

"Oh, my bad. Yoshiko Tachibana, I'm going to Yamaku, I'm a second year right now. You can just call me Nikki if you want. You can also say I'm Luke's surrogate sister."

"I see...and who's that?"

"Um...I am Eri Koyama."

"She went to Yamaku as well. She was in the same grade as me, but not the same class."

"Well, welcome. Is there anything you need?"

"Nah, we just wanted to visit."

A while later, we had dinner together. We had enough stuff to cook for all four of us. My dad was out working today.

"So, you said you're Luke's surrogate sister?"

"Yeah, after we met in the rehab gym, we started off pretty rocky, but soon we became good friends. I had a...not too pleasant experience on a date, Luke was willing to help me out."

"Mm hm. So how did you meet Eri?"

"It was just by coincidence that we met one day while looking through the library's movies. I had always gotten the movies she wanted before her. We met up one night and watched a movie together."

"So, are you two best friends?"

"Well, we are gay, an-"

But Nikki quickly slapped her hand over Eri's mouth.

"Hey, Eri, uh, that doesn't mean the same thing as it says in the dictionary. I'm sorry, she's just started learning English. Yeah, we're best friends."

"Oh, ok."

Woah, nice save there Nikki.

"You know, I'm surprised. Where's all the tractors? Where's your dog? Where's all the moonshine stills?"

"C'mon now Nikki, you didn't really expect all that to be true, did you?"

"Uh, kinda."

"Sorry, I guess all I have to show is that Confederate flag hanging on the wall over there." I pointed at the flag hanging on the wall in my room.

"So, Yoshiko, why couldn't I say we were gay back there?"

"Well, if I'm not mistaken, the South is real anti-gay, isn't it?"

"That is one stereotype that is true, I'm afraid."

"Well, that's unfortunate."

"Yeah. It's getting a bit late guys. If you want to share my bed, you can. I'll sleep on the couch."

"Thanks Luke!"

"Just no diddling around, got it?"

"Jeez, you sound like my mother..."
