Oh wow that little conversation that got started about Hanako's past and why she is so shy/traumatized has made me want to play the final game even more just to see if the devs put her past in it. I never thought it was possible, me wanting to play the game even more that is.

Speaking of such, will we get a somewhat detailed background on the other girls? Like how their lives got changed in an instant (like Emi) and how they managed to cope with and accept themselves, and how people who were permanetly disabled (Shizune, Lilly, Rin) managed to adapt and become how they are in the game. I'm suddenly intrigued about all of this...

I did not mean for her to do a 180 turn and become extremely confident. The ideal scenario I can imagine is like Aeka's path in Yume Miru Kusuri. A somewhat naturally quiet girl who after many hardships can walk from the battlefield with her head held high.

That is probably one of the points whose answers people are really anticipating. Not in terms of numbers and pure retellings of past events but how it ties into the KS-universe.

Shizune - I'm sure she's got some pretty damn high standards, so if she's even dated a guy before, he would have had to be her match in every way for her to even want to touch him. she's clearly got a thing for Hisao, but only if he's all confident and competitive and all that. another thought is that she might consider most guys a waste of time, so she might not have had a boyfriend yet.

Rin - one giant 'maybe.' she's the only one who actually makes innuendos, but that doesn't mean she's done anything. I agree with what someone said earlier that she's more likely to have sex with a good friend than a boyfriend, sort of a "neither of us has done it, so want to do it?" kind of thing.

Emi - dunno why, but I get the feeling that she's more the "let's go make out" kind than the "let's go fuck" kind. we don't really get to know her enough for me to be sure about more than that.

Lilly - I think she might have had a boyfriend before, but she seems like she'd want a monogamous, committed relationship even in high school. not that she'd expect to marry someone in high school, but that she'd be serious about someone before doing anything with them. not casual, so she might have, but might not have. dunno.

Hanako - not a chance in hell.

Would the sex be a dynamic of a plot tool if they weren't virgins?

I can't help but think that Shizune's attitude probably drove away most of the men she's been interested in (I don't think the relative difficulty of communicating with her helped either)

Only if they are really conservative and are afraid to taint their image or to show Hisao that there have been other men. In a possible scenario I could imagine Lilly avoiding the issue (if she is not a virgin anymore) to some extent. However that are only my speculations concerning real life.
But it would not be a dynamic plot tool because such issues can only be solved through trust and KS takes place over three months - a time span too short to construct that kind of trust or what would you think of someone who breaks their vow of celibacy after meeting someone three months prior? I doubt there will be a magical moment where any girl will glomp you and shout "Thank you for solving problem X, now take me and heal me through the power of love, you strong stud!"

Besides, virgins are hard to deal with since the man hurts the woman he loves, inconveniences her greatly and has an even bigger responsibility than normally.

Of course. Unfortunately, that wasn't my point at all. If you have indeed actually played the game, you should perhaps have figured out that story, as well as taste wise, rape isn't something that would fit in (and is best reserved for generic fapping game #28517).

Rape isn't possible. You can't tack damaged goods moe on Hanako, it just wouldn't work.
