Excellent as always, ProfAllister! Really loved the bit with Kenji. I only noticed one minor slip in the story here:

Kenji breaks in on them sleeping naked together and chloroforms her? Then Hisao (relatively calmly!) has a discussion about it in the nude? Then gets punched and chloroformed himself? "Off the rails" doesn't even begin to capture the feeling…

I'm thinking specifically of the part where they're talking at the bus stop, and she goes into a rant that ends with her screeching, falling to her knees, repeatedly punching the ground, and sobbing. I mean, picture anyone you know actually doing this.

Apologies for the confusion. I didn't really think things through when putting them together (The breadcrumbs work!), and, to compound matters, the "Disable Adult Content" sequence fits on a bit TOO seamlessly tacked onto the end of the actual scene. I take full responsibility and will retreat in shame for three months before I begin work on the next chapter. (That's a joke.)

• I'd argue that a) Emi has much more reason for her actions than the average person. Also, calendars. b) I'd dispute that she goes on as if nothing happened. She manages to function and interact with Hisao (at a minimal level) and even brings up a cheerful facade right before facing the world at large, but that's hardly "back to normal."
