Yeah, that's nice.
Friendship is great, and I've had no problem being with someone even when they just wanted to be friends. But some of us need a little more too. Someone who you know loves you, that you can curl up with on the couch, cook meals for, and cuddle with in bed.

My inner conscience told me to hold it out until its released, no reason why, so I just waited until it was released and the reviews rolled in.
Thank god i didn't, that was a train wreck. And I'm a big Sim City fan.
There actually is a way to deal with EA. Wait two to three weeks before actually buying the product and never, and i stress NEVER pre-order, especially if the item has a strong multiplayer focus or some form of DRM.
Anyway backlash against Sim City is starting to get more organized and the growing indie market that's powered by Steam more than Origin is going to start biting EA in the ass. Pretty soon they'll be in a position where they'll have to meet our demands of "No more always-online DRM" and "No more tacked on co-op or multiplayer you stupid fucking idiots. You're a game company goddamnit, what the fuck is wrong with--"
You don't need to see the full rant, you get the idea mate.

Couldn't happen to a nicer company. I've hated EA ever since they fucked up Spore.

^ Because EA is what fucked up Spore...Not the general mediocrity that was the game itself.

BS. If you watched the early demos of the game, it was a fine concept. Then someone at EA stepped in and decided to make all the creatures and designs cute and kid friendly.

EA made the designs cutesy...Okay. That's a flaw. But was it EA that made the overall game a repetitious pile of not-as-good-as-it-claimed-to-be? Was it EA that developed a game consisting of one average segment (cell stage), two segments that are the same "Kill everything or befriend everything" tedium back-to-back (creature, tribal), one segment that is the exact same "Kill everything or befriend everything" tedium with a few cosmetic differences (civ stage), and one segment that, while interesting and relatively impressive, lasted too long and wore out its welcome in doing so (space stage)? That's two
okay pieces out of five, and one of those two dragged. Was that EA? I'm thinking it was Maxis, being the developers and all. To quote: "The chief failing of Spore is that it's trying to be five games, each one a shallow and cut down equivalent of another game."
There are far worse products out there but Spore was overhyped from inception and a letdown. It wasn't EA that fucked it up. It was ambition that fucked it up. They aimed to do far too much and the result was far, far too little. I call it the Molyneux Effect.

But they own Bioware now, and I love Bioware more than I hate EA to do that.

Well, we'd probably take turns. To be honest though, the "cooking" part would be a minor aspect.

I think I know what you mean. It's the little things really that mean the most.

You guys are so compatible
I suppose I have other news. The girl I've been talking about says she isn't looking for any relationship right now. With that, I feel I might just stop trying for a while. I think I'm going to enjoy my own life, make it bright, until I feel I should make others brighter. I'm honestly quite sick of this feeling of unrequited love, so I think it's best to stop trying for a while and let it play into my own hands.
Alas, I still have KS

Whoever creates a dating service exclusively for the dating-dysfunctional KS playerbase will be a rich man...

Well put, I was actually going to say something similar but I feel it's been said elegantly enough.
And on the bright side Shadow, you asked and got an honest answer. Even if it's not the one you were looking for, it's infinitely better to know for sure than to spend your days wondering "what if?"
