This. Also, he still DIES.

So... playing through Shizune's route, recently, I'm starting to see some parallels between Jigoro and Kenji. They're both obnoxious assholes to deal with, but entertaining to read. The difference, I guess, is that Kenji has good intentions (sort of?) and Jigoro... doesn't.

I still find that Hawaiian werewolf swordsman more entertaining.

They both certainly seem to have an agenda. Kenji has his whole fear-of-feminist-uprising thing and Jigoro's values have a lot of parallels with traditional samurai codes. For the first minute or so I thought Jigoro was gonna be a pretty cool guy who was just messing about with his daughter's friends and then... no. He turns out to be a massive, still-looks-like-a-boss dick.

Kenji reminded me instantly of Dale Gribble, from King of The Hill.


Dale Gribble being one of my favorite characters on one of my favorite shows ever, this obviously gives a good idea how I feel on Kenji.

Kenji is amazing. And oddly adorable.

I meant to jump in here earlier but all of my saved KS files are on my laptop and I haven't used this thing much since I built my desktop. But it seems quite a few people have made the connection with Kenji and Dale Gribble, here's my favorite.

That's fantastic.

I have to wonder if their was any inspiration for him from Dale? Or it is just a coincidence.....or even possibly a conspiracy.

Some of my favorite similarities are their doomsday planning, security of their living quarters, and of course, they both have their freakouts, that are quite similar. Just Kenji doesn't say "G'h!"

I don't like him because of his character, but rather because he's batshit insane to the point of being hilarious.
